The Ameli LMG in CoD Ghosts is the heavy hitter of the group. It deals by far the most damage but has some other very serious limitation. This episode of In Depth shows how to use the Amelic up close with Rapid Fire and how to use it as a long range suppression weapon.

The slowest reload time in all of call of duty I think was the m60 in mw3 which took I think 10 seconds to reload.

Am I right when I say the Ameli is kinda like the Mk 48, the M27 is kinda like the HAMR and the LSAT is, well like the LSAT from BO2? And even the Chainsaw and QBB are kinda similar, because they're the aggressive LMG's?

actually: Ameli is like mk 48 as you said Lsat and Chainsaw is Qbb Lsw m 27 is not like any black ops 2 lmg, It's actually more related to m27 assault rifle because they are both very accurate with low damage

This LMG is awesome. It makes you look/feel deadly, Jin-Roh style. Customize your heavy Federation costume that has the armored plate on your wrist, an ammo chain box on your back, a gigantic helmet. Load a Tac-12 shotgun as a secondary, and BOOM!! One deadly son of a gun!!

Drift0r theres a third option: use foregrip, muzzle brake and stalker. you are basically a walking sentry turret, very useful at all ranges.

Ghosts answer to the M60 in Black Ops, MW/MWR, and MW3. Great weapon. Along with the ChainSAW, the Ameli is the opposite side of my spectrum of favorites. Fire Rate vs. Damage. Cool.

The M-27 IAR with a extended mags or grip, and then a suppressor, is my favorite gun in ghosts, the M-27 has GODLY range, even with a suppressor you will get 3 hit kills at up to almost 40 meters.

Just thought i'd point it out, but the first 3 shots on the ameli have 25% more recoil, which may be why the recoil feels high.

One thing i felt was odd, is that this LMG seems like it would be a 7.62 NATO, given its damage profile, but it says on the side its a 5.56. I guess its long barrel gives it that much more of an advantage over all the other 5.56 weapons.

it's just developers not knowing anything about guns - the Ameli fires the weak 5.56x45mm NATO at over 1000 RPM in real life and it has a long range because of it's long barrel. in game it is the only 2 hit kill automatic weapon with a low range, high recoil and low rate of fire lol. having a long barrel in real life usually means the bullet will do less damage because it is more likely to punch through and create a clean exit wound but because the bullet has more velocity that means it has a longer range until it hits the ground and it will be more accurate and less affected by air resistance. this gun in real life is the complete opposite of what it is in game, the game Ameli feels more like it was replaced the M60E6 at the last moment before release

with the ameli burst firing increases recoil, the first 2 shots have around 35 % more recoil than if you hold it down

If there were different variants or the Assault Juggernaut, the Ameli would've been a great substitute for the Minigun. you'd still be able to scavenger primary ammo as the Juggernaut. It would feel nostalgic towards the Juggernaut in MW3

I actually found something odd with the IMS in cod ghosts and thats that you can run up to IMS and make sure you are very close to it and go prone and for some reason the IMS will need two canisters to blow you up. Btw I play on pc.

things that always suck in CoD games year after year and how to fix them: Riot/Assault shields - faster movement, better protection, faster attacks, better lag comp. system Thermal sight - change it from thermal sight to high-exposure sight, where everything is -1.00, except for players, in which them and the area around them is +1.00. Ballistic Vests - extra resistant to flak jacket, equipped automatically to players within 5 meters. dolphin dive (black ops) - allow shooting and quicker recovery from diving.

This is the best LMG in the game. The damage is nasty and the iron sights are great. As a matter of fact, this is one of the few weapons that a flash suppressor is useful on because the iron sights are so clear

Flash suppressor is a novel idea but of very limited usefulness in this game considering that the silencer and red dot sight have the same benefit, with added effects. The red dot in particular is great for weapons with bulky iron sights. The silencer is great for weapons with clear iron sights, but also removes muzzle flash along with the huge stealth benefit, but comes with a range/damage nerf. The flash suppressor works great for the Ameli because it doesn't reduce range, while suppressing muzzle flash. So you're able to retain your 2- 3 hit kill range. Using the iron sight forces the player to play within this range. I suggest giving it a try.

Cobra you are wrong. I've used the VMR and the Ameli DEFINITELY HAS RECOIL! Anyone who says it doesn't HAS NOT USED IT. I've had times where I was behind someone and wasn't being shot and I raised up, crouched and shot and I was shooting middle of the head and my 2nd shot went over the guy.

i think the ameli is a nerfed mk48 it shows teh same effect low rate of fire high damage but the mk48 had the highest range and the lowest accuracy if you test it on a wall same penetration andm ovement speed

There is basically no recoil on this weapon at all. I use a silencer with no grip and it is super precise. Even with iron sights it does very well at long range.

I'm usually an armor piercing rounds person but not with this. I like the rushing class but I prefer rapid fire, grip, along with lightweight and stalker. Slight of hand is a huge waste on this weapon. High damage, 100 rounds, and a lower rate of fire mean that you almost never have to reload this weapon. Instead focus on resistance and mobility perks, or just take a pistol since it's half the cost of slight of hand.

*+Dany1239* I, for one who does not regularly play Ghosts, do not dislike the game. I am glad I bought it and I would be lying if I said I have had no enjoyment from it. Generally, its a mediocrely good and well rounded game. Honestly the reason I believe it gets so much hate is because, at least in my opinion, it is of the worst of the Call of Duty series (still being a good game at that). I can't name major negatives about the game (besides the ridiculous deaths and maps) yet there is nothing from the game that tells me it is a revolutionary next-gen new Call of Duty game. For some people this is good enough for them and for others they expect a little more.

To get a 600rpm by shooting a weapon as a semi-automatic one, you'd need to get 10 clicks per second, I don't think there's a lot of people who can reach that or surpass that value.

Drift0r- have you been following any of the crap going on with CoD Ghosts & the problems people are encountering with being banned? All of these bans are "post-patch", which leads me to believe that this is either A: problems arising from the patch, or B: Users who have been hacked. The users state that Activision issued console bans on their XBox360, ONE, and Ps3&Ps4, despite the fact Activision can not ban a console. Hopefully, you, or someone at CharlieIntel can shed some light on this. I am not effected yet, but still curious.
