Drift0r Watching your video on the Chainsaw for the first time and in the video you posed the question "... where are all of these bullets coming from?" and I wanted to take the time and answer that for you seeing as how no one else did (at least not that I seen, sorry if I missed the comment). The chainsaw is based on the M249 SAW (squad automatic weapon) used by most of our military. I had the pleasure of being a SAW gunner for 6 years while active duty Army. The 249 has a couple of options when it comes to... let's call it ammunition storage. The most common was what we referred to as a "porkchop", which is literally a plastic box shaped kind of like a porkchop, that locks into a metal groove under the the receiver of the weapon using a metallic snap. The standard porkchop holds 200 rounds of ammunition. Next is a canvas/cordura bag that locks in and functions the same as the porkchop. This bag we referred to as a "nutsack". True story, I couldn't make this stuff up. Your standard nutsack holds 100 rounds. Last, and definitely least, the 249 can use a standard 30 round M16/M4 magazine. (If you pause your video at 0:58 you can actually see the magazine port, its located just below the point where the linked ammunition is fed into the chainsaw. I t has some kind of writing on it.)This is not ideal, however, because the magazine's spring isn't able to keep up with the 249's high rate of fire and it causes the weapon to malfunction (jam). And there you have it. (shooting star that leaves behind a rainbow followed by the text "the more you know")

It's neat to see a dedicated hip fire LMG. In BO2 I used to throw a laser sight on the QBW along with rapid fire, dexterity, light weight and extreme conditioning in an attempt to achieve something akin to what you can do with the chainsaw but it was never really viable beyond being for fun. All those insane hip fire, movement and speed penalties that came with all LMGs in BO2 really hurt builds like this. With the chainsaw you get so many built in features that make it much better suited for this sort of play style. That hip fire cone is just beautiful.

The "magazine" is a belt box, and they broke the animation so the handle becomes a stock and your hand is stuck inside the gun, so it looks just like any other lmg. Also, I run a grenade launcher for easy ranged kills or if you are running low on ammo, or just an easy way to start a group. Plus if somebody gets behind something too fast.

I think a very high point perk that allowed you to dual wield any weapon would be amazing, like maybe 5 points (and not for secondaries because of people running around will dual paunzerfaust's) and you have 2 smg's, 2 sniper rifles (if you are so inclined), 2 chainsaws. Maybe I just miss a borderlands type game where the ridiculous is encouraged, but I think that would be an awesome perk

In case anybody is wondering... this is actually a real gun, surprisingly, unlike the PDW-57 or the B23R from Black Ops II. It is a modified Knight's Armament Stoner LMG with a KAC chainSAW grip. Still a silly as hell gun selection, but... méh, guess that's CoD : fun and silly.

Wait why muzzle brake? Its +20% range but if the 3 shot kill range is only 10 meters and 20% of 10 is 2 then you only get 2 meters added to result in 12, am I calculating it wrong someone please correct me if so because drift0r made it sound like it added 10-15 meters to all ranges on that gun so did he mess up in saying that or am I using the wrong formula?

You're correct, it's 20% added range which would extend the 3-shot kill range to ~12.2 m. Although this might not sound like a lot, the muzzle brake is still a very good choice because it's important to kill with the least amount of shots. That said, other attachment are still viable and you should choose what you're best with.

My Chainsaw loadout: rapid fire and muzzle break for attachments and for the perks i always use steady aim and sleight of hand and i switch out the others. this is a very deadly loadout if any of you are willing to try it.

I absolutely love the Chain Saw. it is the most fun weapon in Ghost. It may not be the best weapon, but I dare you to find one with more swag, and trolling capability. I love running this as a speed LMG, and mowing down the entire enemy team. i also got got for this ASAP to increase the swag, and all the creaming after the round is a glorious sound of how awesome this weapon really is.

It is a fun gun to use and the farthest thing from being OP. There aren't a lot of maps that you can make this work on because it is a sitting duck in the open. Most guns kill quick in this game; a slow moving LMG user that shows up on the radar (without "off the grid" perk or silencer) makes for a pretty easy target.

Easily my new favourite weapon, I found this is the best class for me; Scavenger Focus Sleight of hands Ready up Steady aim Attachment: suppressor and rapid fire. This class is best for moving around the map at a pace, not SMG rushing just steady moving. It's a beast weapon, btw try not to press the aim down sight if someone is close, it makes you delay the shooting a tiny bit.
