Which should be the Norm for high performance EVs. If they were designed properly to be only marginally heavier than similar ICE car. Cannot wait for the Ionic 5 N. I'm REALLY trying to avoid a car payment in these crazy times, but if the Ionic is even close to this...... ugh.

I hope so much that Kia uses this same styling for their version of the Ioniq 6, because the EV6's front fascia looks amazing, but it's a hatchback, so it's not an option for me as a sedan buyer. Cannot wait to see what they come up with!

This is my favorite EV now, I love how just as I predicted, as time moves on EV cars will get better and better dynamically, this gets me really excited for when Honda eventually makes their Type R EV since the current one is the last ICE Type R! Also that burbuling sound at the start of the video sounds like you're making coffee 😂

Honda had better get going. They are SO far behind and I love Honda. Now I am a Tesla guy.

Biggest issues with the car is price. The model 3 performance is better in almost every way and cost 25k less(45k vs 70k) 130 more miles of range, faster 1/4mile time, track mode is better than drift mode, better technology, supercharger network so easy quick road-tripping with autopilot etc etc etc. I like the Kia styling and interior more than tesla, but I’m not paying 25k for an inferior piece of tech, I’d much rather grab another Korean product (used Kia stingers are around 25k now) you could buy a model 3 performance and a Stinger for the price of one ev6.
@nicholasn.2883 Жыл бұрын
It's actually only 10k cheaper, too bad model 3 is an NPC frog mobile
@daijoubu4529 Жыл бұрын
Inferior is subjective, Telsa are too cutting edge, software always being updated, buggy, poor build quality and reliability record, it may be only superior on paper.
@iSOBigD Жыл бұрын
That's amazing (minus the manual seats)! Nice looks, great acceleration, fun driving, and it's not $200k-$350k like the Porsche, Audi, Lucid...

I'm really not a fan of the general EV6 design, but I have to admit this is sick, this put the EV6 in a whole new light for me, I had only considered it a pedestrain Crossover, not a sporty car. With good looking wheels and some lowering this would be a really cool daily.

Only thing whats lacking is the range! 500km should be EV minimum to be considered in colder climates!

Was the turning radius improved to allow for proper drifting or it's just a mode that sends power to the rear for oversteer slides?

Seems like Kia said “let’s make the first iconic EV hot hatch” and did. Could the EV6 GT be setting itself up for a few decades as the GTI for the new generation of automobile?
@ARCNA442 Жыл бұрын
It's not a hatch - the EV6 is 16" longer and 3" taller than a GTI (and the GTI is already an inch or two taller than its competitors).
@raffiboi22 Жыл бұрын
Wait wait wait… what? 206 miles? What happens after a few years and there is battery degradation? 180 miles on year 3 of ownership? The car looks cool! Looks cooler than my Tesla model three performance. But I’m still rocking up to 300 mile range.

7:48 That's exactly what I've been saying ever since the iX with the Hans Zimmer sounds and the Hellcat EV. Sounds should be available for download just like ringtones for your phone were a thing. Every EV should come standard with the basic exterior sound for reverse or slow moving in a parking lot, but the interior acceleration sounds can be your choice of thousands available for download. How do we convince automakers to make this a thing?
