The AE86 is worth keeping considering it's in pretty good condition for it's age. You just see them in this great of shape in stock form. I had a 85 sr5 back in 2001 and I kept it for 3 years in oem condition minus the drop springs. Nice Kuruma !!

I would swap beams to SR5 lol. the AE72 is not bad but lots of rust... 🤷🏻‍♂

Keep whichever car truly makes you happy, and always enjoy looking back at whenever you park it somewhere. Edit: Personally, I'd swap all of the good stuff from the beams swapped car into the ae86 since it has better bones and more aftermarket support long term.

I have an rotted Carina that Ill be pulling parts from whats left of ot at least. The Engine Transmission drivetrain etc will be removed.... hopefully I can find an old Toyota to put the parts in anything that shares a platform with the AE86 Corolla.

i fks with that AE72, barely see them any more. the AE86 everyone knows, but honestly if i had both, i'd keep the 86 because it looks cleaner, but as a welder, i would be all over that 72. because i would just fab the living hell out of it.

Hardtop is way cooler and sits nice with your coupe, ae86 is way easier to control maintenance (more ex/interior stuff) and pop ups. How diverse you want your yota collection?

Technically closer to 4ac due to diff and engine but chassis is ae86

@kelvinarreola alright I realised the north American market ones had the chassis code as ae86. The same body style one in japan would have been ae85 instead. I didn't notice yours is a left hand drive. So yeah, u are technically correct. Just different chassis code for different region
