Drilling Properly for Pipes in a Sink Cabinet

I did a search on 'drilling kitchen cabinet water pipe holes' and this was the first video that came up. I never got to see any holes drilled. I'm having trouble finding handyman videos that show an entire job from start to finish. Each video is just a small fraction of a job. And I still don't understand the overhang thing. It seems to me that would leave a gap between the cabinet sections cause they can't be placed flush with each other. If I found a video that showed the entire job of cabinet installation, then I'd understand. Maybe.

If it's a brand new cab that you have to assemble, you can probably dry screw everything (no glue) except the bottom (or the back in my case) then measure, not that your method doesn't work just that it might be easier to do this way. In my case the pipes come thru the wall into the back, and I have already dry assembled it (no glue just screws)..without the back panel and so when I have it in the exact correct position then I'll jot down my measurements. The other cabs have to be exactly where they are going to stay including leveling feet or shims or those measurements will not be accurate to it's final position.

drilling is not an issue.. how do you actually install the cabinet with the pipes sticking out from the floor and the wall?

You will need to either leave the wall pipe un glued and glue it after the cabinet is installed or cut it very close to the wall, if it is already glued. Cutting close to the wall will actually help with the finish work. You can keep your trap adapter close to the back of the cabinet and cover it with a deep ecshcusion.
