Drimaster-Eco Installation - Part 1: The Parts Explained

Part 1 of Nuaire's Drimaster-Eco installation video explaining the parts. This video is part 1 of 4 parts that guide you through the complete installation of a Drimaster-Eco Positive Input Ventilation System, also known as PIV.
The low-energy Drimaster-Eco PIV range will cure your home of condensation dampness and prevent black mould patches from re-appearing. At the same time, it will help remove indoor air pollutants such as carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, nitrogen dioxide, and harmful radon gas.
Drimaster-Eco creates a fresh, healthy environment in which condensation dampness cannot exist. This tried-and-tested ventilation principle takes fresh air from the loft, filters it and then gently pushed it into the home through a ceiling diffuser. This creates positive pressurisation, which forces out stale air and pollutants, and reduces humidity levels, which improves your Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
Dillute, Displace, Replace.

Diffuser
The new circular diffuser is unique to Nuaire. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing but its shape makes it easier to line up when installing it.
The control interface is housed within the diffuser to allow the adjustment of speed, heater and unit temperature control, so it can be set and adjusted from the hallway, without having to access the loft.
Heater
The Drimaster-Eco-Heat unit has a 400w thermostatically controlled heater which is designed to fit directly to the diffuser.
This unique feature provides minimal heat loss as the air is heated at the point of input on the unit. This new design creates a quick and simple install using less energy than a conventional PIV system with heating element.
The heater is also fitted with a bi-metallic thermal trip for safety.
Ducting
The flexible ducting is 2 metres in length to overcome installation restrictions.
Unit. The Drimaster -Eco-Heat-HC unit can be suspended using the nylon cord supplied. This makes installation quicker and easier.
The ability to suspend the unit allows you to capitalise on the solar gain within your loft, to save more energy.
Diffuser
This unit has 6 speed and 5 temperature control options to suit all property requirements.
Filters
These 5 year life filters ensure that the supply air is filtered and being G4 grade means they are so fine they will even exclude pollen which is great for Hay fever sufferers.

There is one in property i currently rent. Although it may be good getting the moisture out, it is somehow energy inefficient as the unit does blows cold air into the house all night causing heat loss at a steady constant rate. No extraction and heat exchanger unit as the air gets out of the property through multiple microholes eg untight windows and doors.would be great to see it with a proper heat recovery unit. Or maybe there is one ?
