Physics are so important in wheeling, be it 1/10 scale or 1/1 scale. Neat experiment

I do believe he would look nice with a black outline around his windows. At minimum the rear and rear sides.

I picked up some of those inserts and a couple driveshafts. I have a set of Mallets to try and got the fridge foam a month or two back. Hoping my leaf mounts arrive today so I can get to building my leaf rig 🙌

Lord Pentabee looks great on those narrow offset steelies. Add some chrome hubs and 🤌. I love the Pivots, and I love them even more on the Injora green inserts.

I think now that the Mallet is the Pivot for lightweights. The Pivots sing at +8lbs.

Idk if that gen of Bronco ever came with Stabilitrak, but after seeing this I’d believe it!

Lord Pentabee gettin' right into it. White wagon wheels would be mmmmm. More quality content from the Canyon.

Idk commenting before end of video but I’m watching this immediately after your 1.9 rupture video on yellow and I would say these tires walked up slick rock quicker and honestly some of the best I’ve seen on this channel. How it accelerated over that smooth rock. And finally too my point I feel it’s very hard to judge tires in one format. My rtr 4ws Capra nittos were absolutely just horrendous on that car. I vented them and had some gain. They are fitted with injora red dual stage foams and on my trx6 hauler. There amazing on there. Now before you say six wheels I put them on my 8.5ish scx10iii bronco and they wheel very very good. Same goes with the tires that came on that bronco the wildpeak falcons both r35. Those on stretched on VP OMF 2.2 wheels with blues injora silicones and they wheel real nice also. Rotating mass does not matter with our good electronics. So please take the free lunch and someone else will pick up the tab! So all tires that struggle should be re checked on a heavy rig say 8+ pounds and up. Why these were stinky for you on your coyote…I just watched “The last crusade” last night 😂😂 “he has chosen..poooorly”…”you have chosen wisely”. But the cup must not pass the great seal. That’s what these tires are doing on 8+Lbs. the walls are crashing on your test 🤣 ha ha

I feel like Duratrax/Louise are hitting a target in Class 1 that ProLine and even JConcepts are missing to varying degrees-- take for instance the C1 Tusk, which was outstanding, but was tested on Baseline, some 3lbs lighter. I doubt there are many kitted-out C1 rigs coming in at 5lbs, when the body alone can be +2lbs. Most companies are just making a smaller version of another tire, or making that tire in a small size only (:cough: RC4WD:cough:) JConcepts did come through with the Bounty Hunter, which is as surprisingly good as the Pivot in some applications. On the other hand, I've never been close to impressed by any tire in R35. The Baja Boss have the badge of "not terrible," but the Trail Grapplers are awful tires. Axial used to make good tires, and now focus on scale with little regard to performance, and don't have a current tire that could challenge even a Canyon Trail.

So maybe you should change tires between Lord Pentabee and Wilie? Maybe a special video to see if they both improve with their new tires? Pivots get 10th place, tied with the Injora Pro Comps. Also, there is already a column for specific things of each tire if needed (weather, inserts, etc) I feel like I was going to say something else, but I cant remember, so hopefully it wasnt important

LORD looks great on the hood. Heavy wheels and tires, damn. 8lbs wont let it donkey, it was funny. Seems t case skid is hooking on everything, angle front leading edge, or pre skid to smooth transition to skid or flatten it more to flat with rails ? Tire/insert good showing on this rig

I'm a big fan of sub 4.19 tires. There's a VS4-10 I like to run with a 4Runner body on it.. he's a porky fellow. RC4wd Dick Cepek Mud Country (3.85) tires and whatever inserts they came with. I feel, for where I go, it's quite capable.. I'd love to see more really small tire content.
@hoffey_rc51426 ай бұрын
I've found the smaller, class 1 injora blue's fill out the tire width/shoulder much better than the class 2 injora blues do with the larger tires. But I haven't done nearly as much testing as you have
@CrawlerCanyon6 ай бұрын
Yeah, the C1 Injora Silicone fit pretty much perfectly in every C1 tire I've tried them with. If Injora would just give us a wider version to fit more Class 2s (which I understand why they haven't, all of their tries are essentially the same width) and maybe an insert for 2.2 we'd be pretty happy.

Did you make a comparison of proline foam and 3D insert ?
@CrawlerCanyon6 ай бұрын
I've done the ProLine dual-stage vs. the TimTin dual-stage in the past. The issue (for most of us) with the ProLine inserts is that they're designed to work specifically with ProLine wheels and tires. SO unless you're buying the whole "system," there are certainly better and cheaper options (like the TimTins)

Do you think he performed better on this class 1 tire compared to how he would perform on an equivalent tire in a class 2. Probably we dont know until we do but i am curious none the less.
@CrawlerCanyon6 ай бұрын
That ground clearance is going to come at the cost of measurably higher CG. He doesn't feel as heavy as he is because the weight is pretty much as low as possible.

Sounds like I need to try a class 1 on my TRX-4 bronco. I just might enjoy wheeling it instead of just cussing at it every time it rolls over on its top.. frequently.
