Huh, kinda seems like there are elements here that could work. Like, I think the drive thru voice box is pretty neat. There are a lot of unnerving sound bites out there that are unnerving because they have a tinny voice with clipping audio. And we don’t really hold it against Art the Clown when he teleports. And we didn’t hold it against Evil Dead when there seems to be no logic behind who is affected by the evil magic and why it affects them in the specific way that it does. But it also seems like all those elements didn’t work together in an entertaining, or satisfying way.

The supposed politics in this movie are incredibly minor and barely worth mentioning, encompassing exactly one single character and a couple of lines to set up her death. Like it or not, entertainment has ALWAYS been political to some degree. Also, Rolfe ignores politics because his brain can only handle muh 80s references and "diarrhea poopy on video games." He's never thought about anything deeper than that.

It was a little gradual and a little abrupt. The big shift happened after his Jacob's Ladder review, which he played like it was his final episode, but then he gets up and reviews Aladdin and the Adventure of All time. Though he did review some cartoons before then, like Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Aladdin. Even after his Jacob Ladder review, he will occasionally do a horror film, usually something internet related or a sequel to a series he already reviewed like Wrong Turn and Jeepers Creepers.
