The car takes one of the top spots when it comes to screwed up design. In terms of unimaginativeness and insignificance, it is unmatched by any other car in the history of automobiles. Details are also poorly executed and look cheap. We're talking about a car that costs around 130,000 euros with a few extras. With a length of 5.22 meters (!!!), the space in the rear is worse than in a VW Passat. A dashboard that is reminiscent of mouse cinema and comes across as bombastic. A front that not even Honda designed for its cars. The side part is absolutely tension-free, mega-boring and looks like a whale's belly. Proportions? There are none! Emphasizing the "one bow" design (yawn) in the ad is ridiculous, but the EQS has nothing that makes it really interesting, so the only thing left to do is focus on the roof section of the car. For me, the design department at Mercedes urgently needs to be renewed. Not only the EQS, but also almost all other Mercedes models leave a lot to be desired in terms of design. This is not going in the right direction. The EQS should be the spearhead of Mercedes automotive engineering and what do we get? A messed up egg!

Wrong in so many ways. If your are simply going to hate to troll without any factual statements, just go complain to someone who cares.

I have to disagree with you. I actually like the Mercedes brand, but I don't think the chief designer Gordon Wagener has been leading the brand in the right direction. You can definitely evaluate design objectively, it's not just a matter of taste, and not only with the EQS but also with many other Mercedes Benz models, proportions, lines, surfaces (and joints) are simply badly designed. Cars should express emotions, make the driver dream when he sees them, and automotive design must also anticipate the future and can sometimes initially lead to a lack of understanding, because the shapes and the entire architecture of the car are ahead of their time. This is also what we want, because a car has a life cycle of around 5-8 years and it has to be attractive and desirable even years later. However, the EQS design already caused yawning faces at the premiere and unfortunately still gets a lot wrong with proportions, lines, surface design and much more. As I said, I would have wished with all my heart an exciting, forward-looking, futuristic electric car for Mercedes and would have celebrated and admired it. However, the EQS is the complete opposite and in my opinion many other Mercedes models are also very questionable in terms of design and if they didn't have the star on the bonnet, the sales figures would certainly be different. The EQS is screwed up. It's a shame, sad and will cost Mercedes a lot of profits, but it's obvious.
