You only have to pay to stay on BLM land if you stay within one of the LTVAs (Long Term Visitor Area). Included in the LTVA fee is access to water, dump, and garbage disposal. There are 4 LTVA areas on US95 just south I-10. North of town on US95 there is lots of open BLM and State Trust Land where you can stay for free (state trust land does require an annual pass that costs $20). Some require registration, but still free, and some do not require registration. You will see the locations as you drive north on US95. Safe travels!

Grew up in Phoenix in the 60’s and 70’s and have family and friends still there, so I’ve visited over the years too! Phoenix in the 70’s was frickin Great! It just exploded in Size, just like Vegas! Which I lived there from 76 to 84, then again from 99 to 08! So made a lot of trips to Phoenix from Vegas! One nice thing about Phoenix is the Freeway system is probably the newest in the Country as a lot of politicians tried to keep growth down and Freeways out! Of course now they are constantly expanding and adding lanes to them!

Sometimes the speakers in the car get crummy quality when you're talking on the phone. A lot of times I have my earpods in and I'd rather talk on those when I'm driving than through the speakers. I always hate when people make bluetooth calls from their car when they're not even driving. They turn it up obnoxiously loud and it sounds like they're on the phone with the teacher from Charlie Brown coming through the speakers!🤣

Phoenix and Vegas are nice if you really don't want or need to be on the coast, like California or Florida, because there's A LOT of sunshine and not much rain. But it's not nearly as warm as Florida in the winter, and it's MUCH hotter (not humid hot) in the summer. I like the sunshine there, but it's not as warm as Florida in the winter, it actually gets quite chilly and occasionally even snows in Vegas! But there's no ocean there and I wouldn't be able to surf, so it's a dealbreaker for me. My buddy and his wife live in Vegas for most of the year and Montana in the summer. They love Vegas. Once he retires he wants to go to Florida in the winter and return to Montana in the summer like he has been doing.

As far as Culver's goes, I like it, my girlfriend likes it, it kind of tastes like Wendy's to me. A bit more expensive, but faster than the Wendy's by me, And a lot of nice ice cream options. I've been waiting for the Del Taco on Kanner Highway in Stuart, but they haven't even broke ground on it yet! They have signage on the fences about it coming soon. I first saw it back in May or June before I left Florida for the summer. It's late November and it's STILL like that, with no progress yet lol.
