What size tires are you guys running? 100% on the wheelbase. A longer wheelbase can get a lot of weight over the obstacle before the rear tires try and climb. There is no perfect rig, just ones full of compromises for certain obstacles and even for different terrain and street use. Sometimes articulation can actually hurt you.

I don't understand the "not using your lockers" on obstacles? Maybe because the selectables are like a spool when locked? My taco only has a drop in Spartan locker in the front, open rear diff. Never felt the want or need to turn off the front locker
@tacomabeast3 жыл бұрын
Typically lockers make your truck run in a straight line, if you have them on while turning it can cause damage to the axles from undue stress
@nicholascooper11933 жыл бұрын
@@tacomabeast It would be cool if someone would make a selectable locker that didn't lock into a "spool" when actuated. Auto lockers like a Detroit/Grizzly/any of the lunchbox lockers will let a tire spin faster than the ring gear (albeit with some ratcheting that can be a bit disconcerting to the novice) but not slower.

I'd be a ball of nerves trying to drive my 'Asphalt Princess' 2019 TRD-OffRoad over those trails. I've upgraded to bigger tires and a better suspension that clears those tires (no rubbing) but my rig is still too stock to take on those trails. I'd need some top of the line sliders and better armor underneath and get some decent wrap-around 'steel' bumpers front and back like you guys have. Only then would I try those trails, oh lastly I'd have to have a fantastic spotter to talk me through it all.......
