The truth about R888R's is that they're not drag tires. They're R compound track day/circuit tires, lol.

I have them on my 370 Nismo. I love the noise they make when accelerating and decelerating. It sounds like a spaceship to me. Exactly what I want from my machine. Cool freakin noises. Wey expensive however. It’s a DD btw.

I’ve got these on my 370z and they have great grip and I daily them and they hold up for about a year around 15k miles definitely love these tires and I’m 100 percent gonna buy them again

💥💥 I have a 1970-1/2 Camaro RS 444 rwhp 463 rw tq big block. The suspension is full on autocross with fiberglass front and rear mono leaf springs. My tires are BF Goodrich g-Force KD 🔷 -Front 275/40ZR/17 98Y 9.5” rim -Rear 315/35ZR/17 102Y 11.5” rim. They are about 13 years old and need to be freshened up. I have a Tremec TKO 5 speed and I completely roast 1st gear, spin all through 2nd and a little at the beginning of 3rd. I have CalTracs traction control bars in the rear and I’m hoping that these tires will improve my launch on the street. 🇺🇸💪🏼

Federal makes killer bang for the buck tires. I ran the 595ss on my S4 and had podium Finishes in the unlimited street tire class against 20+ cars. They also last forever

I am after a tire that can hook up good even when cold with 500lbft tq. RWD. I currently have Yokohama AD08R and they are really good, but if the road surface is not new and grippy, then they don't do a good job. My LSD is being built currently. What tire would you recommend?

I mean if you have to take on the weather then I would just advise driving safe, avoiding water pile up on spots on the road to prevent hydroplaning!

@@FitmentIndustries just an update driving my R35 in the storm from Bowie, MD to Ocean City held up pretty good cruising at 70mph. I mean it drives like a normal car. It changed my confidence level for the better having the r888r tires on my GT-R weather if it is rain or shine the tire works well on the road. Thank you

I use 345 NT05R on my supercharged C6Z. They last two seasons or so at the strip and are very cheap. I was getting 1.5-1.6 60’ with too much positive camber, so it could do better.

the NTO5 is a great daily + track tire for the money. NT01 is pretty much track only. both Nitto and Hankook offer very good value vs performance. Hankook RS4 is also a great one. are any of these tires good in the rain? hell no. will any of them have good tread life? that's a big hell no.

If you are worried about the noise , you are not going fast enough. These tires do make some sound at cruising speed but that’s all part of the experience. I can no lift shift through the twisties and not upset the car. I am going to start hoarding these now.

💥💥 Hey, I’m back and scratch my previous comment below. I’ve called around for my tire size and these R888R tires are the only brand in the world that fit my rear rim size. 315/35/17. I called Tire Rack and they said that they won’t sell them to me if I’m using them on the road since they are intended for autocross. I’m confused because you are reviewing these as road tires and I’m hoping for sone feedback on that. Thanks. So frustrated and confused… 🤟🏼

Just ask a shop to order them for you. Most tire shops will put whatever you want on your car if it fits. And their wholesellers don't restrict tire purchases whatsoever. I work at a shop and my coworkers have gotten everything from r888rs to drag slicks without question.

I have these and the MPSS on a different set of rims. The R888r is a way stickier tire, that holds power better and corners better in more aggressive situations than the PSS. Nobody should buy these R888r for daily driving, that’s not what they are built for, they are built to handle high HP applications on the weekends.
