Yep, take the doors off. Water rushes into 1 side and weight distribution gets unbalanced, leaning to water side and gets worse as more water is taken. Only other option is to creep in, stop occasionally and allow water to level inside before going deeper.

"A" for effort . Silicone grease your plug and cap wires, pop off the doors and load a few cast iron cylinder heads to make it less buoyant . You will need to be negatively buoyant to get enough traction to make it across. Also, your battery needs to have a charge. The alternator most likely will not work under water . With no power it will not run. Enjoy your videos!

There's a spray used to waterproof tanks and stuff. Forget the name but it forms a thin barrier. They could also use dialectric grease so even if it does get wet, it'll complete the circuirt. In fact, they could actually load up the distributor with the stuff so even if water gets in, it'll still spark properly.

Martin Dinner 1. Most engines are designed to run with back pressure. They make more power with back pressure, to a point obviously. Engineering explained made a great video explaining this, you should watch it. Maybe learn a thing or two. 2. For these purposes an exhaust snorkel is absolutely pointless. As long as the motor keeps running he’ll be fine. The back pressure won’t be near enough to kill the motor and it’s not like he’s going for peak performance here. Building an exhaust snorkel would be a waste of his time and resources.

Well that could be anything, a tie rod, ball joint, caliper bolt, wheel speed sensor, lower control arm, lower shock mount, swaybar link or castor bar bushing. And while you're at it, the Head Gasket needs to be replaced, all the other gaskets have revolted and want a new leader...
