This happened to my black uncle, we just came from the beach going home, when we got home a cop came out of no where, and said the same exact thing "do you know why you got pulled over?" "Why? "This is a construction zone, and you're in it." And my uncle said "this is where I live." When I looked around no where looked like it was under construction.. I just think it's unfair that as soon as some cops see a different color/race they immediately think you're bad.

I literally got pulled over a few weeks ago when I was leaving my neighborhood Walgreens. In my own neighborhood!! The cop kept asking me what I was doing in this neighborhood so late as if he couldn’t believe I lived in that subdivision. And literally 4 other cop cars pulled up as well. They made me get out the car and searched my entire vehicle, dumped my bottle of ibuprofen out on the ground, all while still not telling me why I was pulled over. When I asked one of the backup cops why I was pulled over he said he was just responding to a call and none of them could tell me the same thing. After they searched my car and ran my ID and plate.. and found NOTHING, I was then informed that I was stopped because the light above my license plate went out & I need to replace the bulbs.... it took 5 police cars and a search of my vehicle to tell me that??!!!!!!

TRUE STORY!!! It is clear that the procedure of police was to WASTE PRECIOUS TIME and UNNECESSARY RESOURCES on nonsense incidents (of which aren’t really an incident to begin with) and A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY for pretending they have reasons to doing their “job”. PLEASE. I truly believe that there are some few real good and honest police out there doing the right things serving and protecting communities that doesn’t get notice in the media or the public eyes. I’m currently dating a police officer (who is not white btw), and that is literally not possible. If they had their body cam on the whole time, it would die before their 12 hour shift was up. They couldn’t have it on the whole time if they wanted to. Hopefully body cams will get longer battery lives in the near future, but as of right now, cops can’t even keep it on during their entire shift, or even during every interaction they have with civilians. I also think it is important for people to not say things like this or make these kinds of proposals when they don’t even have a legitimate understanding of how things like this work within the police force.

It happened to me with a guy who developed a crush on me at a bookstore who worked at the Chinese restaurant next door. He spent a whole afternoon staring at me through a window, then came in and tried to physically drag me over the counter when I dug my heels in. Later he was still there and making lewd gestures through the window. Someone finally called the police on him. The police put it down as "Cultural differences" and blamed me for not understanding that he was just trying to woo me as I was freaking out at that point. A day later I found out he was following teenage girls home from the Subway a few doors over, only to be scared off by their parents. And that the police never even spoke to them, they told me after I warned them about the guy. Thankfully the landlord took over and had the guy deported since he was furious that it was happening. But the police did shit to help except blame the woman for it.

When I was like 10, my mom went like 3 miles over the speed limit and the cop sat right there like, "Do YoU KnOw HoW FaSt YoU WeRe gOinG." My mom said, "No, officer." Cus you know you're not supposed to confess to nothin if you're black. Oh yeah, a bit of backstory, this cop sat on the side of this busy road an errybody was driving like 20 miles over the limit but I live in the yeehaw country of the US of A so all of em were white as snow, so moment he see's my mama driving he thinks, "That one. I wanna harass that one." Long story short, my mom got a ticket after bout 2 minutes of harassment so it wasn't too bad.

this is so scary. i never realized how much bravery it takes to just 'exist' in the us. and its not even because of the armed gangs or robbers, but because of the law keepers. i feel so sorry for you, i would broke down if someone treated me like that, especially the police.

I’m Mexican so I get it. I was always taught not to be scared and to do what I feel is right. I stand by that. I’m not scared of the police but I show them respect if it’s deserved. Most cops I interacted with were actually nice but I’ve gotten in trouble wrongfully a couple times.

@@f1rebreather123 i've always had a good poker face without realising and the police somehow get angry at that idk why

I realize my psychology is totally different, but I can't fathom devoting this kind of time and energy to harassing somebody who didn't antagonize me and mine first, or indicate that they had the intention of antagonizing me or mine. (So, yeah, I were a cop, I might do this to someone with a MAGA hat.) In the time the cops cruised around Swoozie's car and passive-aggressively wasted his time, they could've just gone and had a doughnut, and everybody would've been a lot happier. I genuinely do not get it. Maybe they're jealous Swoozie's so gorgeous; I dunno.

I think we are all glad you’re not a cop then since you clearly like antagonizing others because of their political beliefs

To antagonize someone because they vote a certain party is just as bad

I didn't start the fire--y'all did that by calling people libcucks, libturds, soyboys, welfare queens, pinko commies, babykillers, SJWs, and miscellaneous slurs for years and showing pretty open contempt for a whole laundry list of people who mainly wanted to live their lives in peace. Our political choices and endorsements have consequences and implications, and do not exist in a vacuum. If you actively and knowingly cheer or even, passively support policies, practices, and rhetoric that directly harm or discriminate against innocent people, then of course people are well within their rights to give you a side-eye. It's a bit late for "can't we all just get along?" Of course, it would be wrong for a person in a position of power or authority to discriminate against someone or deny their rights, safety, or dignity on the basis of politics or ideology. No disagreement there.

Of course, on the grand scale, it would be wrong for a person in a position of power or authority to discriminate against someone or deny their rights, safety, or dignity on the basis of politics or ideology. No disagreement there. I was being honest about how I'd react internally---and as for that, I didn't start the fire; Trump supporters did that by calling people libcucks, libturds, soyboys, welfare queens, pinko commies, babykillers, SJWs, and miscellaneous slurs for years and showing pretty open contempt for a whole laundry list of people who mainly wanted to live their lives in peace. Then, the same people threw constant bloody fits about covid precautions, and reacted callously at the possibility of covid killing the elderly and people with disabilities particularly. The cherry on top was the insurrection. Our political choices and endorsements have consequences and implications, and do not exist in a vacuum. If you actively and knowingly cheer or even, passively support policies, practices, and rhetoric that directly harm or discriminate against innocent people, then of course people are well within their rights to give you a side-eye. It's a bit late for "can't we all just get along?"
