The strongest woman I have ever watched on KZbin. Residency (long hours, long days), motherhood, marriage, et cetera. Thank you for inspiring thousands of people on a regular basis. You show us that there are no limits or excuses, and that life is what we demand it to be. Have a great day!

Thank you your videos helped me see that I can be a family medicine doctor and have a healthy family structure thank you I'm crying of the gift you've given me as a junior high school student

This was such a motivating video. I'm a graduating medical student this year, a new mom of a 2 month old precious baby girl and an aspiring EM resident. It has been so hard returning to my rotations to finish up for the next few weeks but this video made it seem so doable and I'm happy to see the other side of things! This was just what I needed to keep going (along with lots of daily prayer and motivation). Thanks for sharing!

You got this! Don’t forget to advocate for yourself. I specifically chose my program because I knew they supported me in my decision to grow a family while in medical training.

Smarter people are not having kids. We are in a broken world. Putting kids in a irreparable world where they will 100% suffer climate change instead of adopting is selfish and disgusting. Most moms are no realist they just want a cute baby to post pictures on fb of and get praises while complaining about work and their broken love life. Also, I know people in their 20s who have kids and feel like their life is over, no energy no time for anything but making money. It depends on people.

Hi.. I have 2 kids, 3.5 and 1.5. I have support from my husband and my family to watch the kids as childcare. My husband works full time. Do you think its ideal and doable to pursue medicine? I'm finishing my undergrad very soon and want to pursue a slow paced postbacc premed program and volunteer/gain experience slowly so its not too hard with kids. I like the idea of med school but hard to imagine 80hr work weeks in residency since its 3-7 years in length.. whereas rigorous classroom academia only lasts 2 years and then clinical rotations for the next 2 years.. Really need your full range of thoughts on this!

hi! i love you videos! do residents get paid a good salary? i know this is a personal question, so don’t feel compelled to answer! i was just wondering when you start getting paid the high salaries haha! thanks!
@ladyblackfire7 жыл бұрын
Lauren Burnett I know I’m not Jenny but a couple of medical schools do list what residents make per year on their websites! I do not know if it differs from speciality to specialty but from my research, residents still do make good salaries. Typically a first year resident can make, from what I’ve researched, between $47,000 to $53,000. But it depends primarily on the school of choice.
