I’m not in the medical field, but I am currently a SAHM, I find that bringing a few sizes of plastic zip top baggies is essential for messes (dirty scrubs), and protection (phone saver) and to keeps things organized! I keep some wipes on hand too, because you never know when you’ll need them! We love your videos! My little boy always asks to watch you. ☺️

In Sweden people working in any kind of care have work clothes (that they leave in a locker in a changing room in the hospital when going home) with at least two BIG pockets on the top and usually big pockets on the trousers as well, where they keep everything (multiple phones, stetoscope, notebook, medical tape, scissor etc). Sometimes some countries seems so old-fashioned. A really postive thing with your working clothes though is that they don't look as formal as the Swedish ones does.

I horde pens so when I go to the hospital I clean out my pens and give them to the doctors - they all love me for the rest of the night. I live about 45 miniutes form you - but some of our local patient transfer companies give out pens with clips on the top so you can clip it on your keys

I really liked your video! I'm a medical student in Mexico and I find it very interesting to watch how different and also how similar is the medical experience in other parts of the world. I don't know if the hospital would provide it, but I would take a toothbrush and toothpaste with me for after eating :)

I’m not a doctor but I agree about the scrubs. I was having a severe allergic reaction and what of symptoms was nauseous, needless to say after the nurse giving me the medication wi was supposed to take, I threw up on her. Me being a Canadian I apologized about 100 times. Still feel bad about it.

Wow I am surprised that so many things all fit into your backback. You are wise using a backpack because you can put the backpack into the washer and add desinfectant. With a leather bag this would be a different story. By the way, lip balm makes the lips only temporarily better but dryer on the long run. There is plenty of information on the internet.

Some of my friends bring their own sheets/blankets when they're on call. I wanted to see if this was a common occurrence internationally, but it seems not! 😂 Best of luck in your residency ❤️

Yeah it's always freezing in the call rooms 💔 I tried bringing my own blanket a few times and it does make a difference in comfort level, but I feel self conscious carrying a huge duffel bag full of blanket when I'm walking in to the hospital

You may have mentioned this in another video but why do hospitals still use pagers (as opposed to any other consumer or specialty telecom device)? It seems like such an outdated piece of technology for such a critical industry.

I doubt I'll get a reply because I know this is an old video but as someone with anaphylaxia caused by nuts being anywhere close to me or people that have eaten nuts close to me how do you prevent cross contamination after eatting them (aside from general hand hygiene) and would having someone in your care with a severe allergy affect you eatting them?
