You can use a blender just cut the celery in pieces. I use a blender and add juice or almond milk. So it won't be too thick just add more milk or 100% juice to it.

If you are looking to move your bowel, then the juice is not all you want. You need the insoluble fiber too. Do a smoothie with the celery instead. That way you get to use the pulp which constitutes the insoluble fiber. You get everything that way - soluble and insoluble fiber

I did yr nitric oxide excercises daily, celery juice each morning on empty stomach and change to healthy diet for a mth. My BP is now normalised and doctor said no need medication. Will continue this practise for rest of life. Thanks Dr Joe for yr videos on BP.

Update: based on my comment below I started this process. Praise God. No medication taken and from 133-138 every week - guess what? - I now reading 123-128. So now a long next - 2 juices a week next week with some celery and humous snack during lunch. Let's see what happens (just to reduce daily juicing). Wow. It works. Thanks Dr. I am so excited.

@@portianl ; Yes, I missed that in the video. I did try celery juicing for six weeks. It didn’t help my blood pressure. Then I tried beet root juice. That worked but not much. It dropped my pressure by 6 points, give or take a point. Years ago, I did the keto diet and within five weeks, by blood pressure completely normalized. Well of course I fell off the diet🙄 and pressure went back up. I did keto again, but it did not help my pressure this time. So aggravating. So mad at myself for coming off keto the first time.

You should add lemon or lime. These keep the others in their natural cellular form. Without them they mix to form something other than what they are. Eventide you add something together it changes its chemistry. The lemon or lime is the solution to keeping all in it's natural cellular form.

And from what your lab results show, now I understand the difference between the natural mineral salts in celery versus the refined salts or processed salts. Celery, cucumber, apple, ginger, lemon is a very good to relax the body after a hard day at work. The apple give it a hint of sweet flavor for people who worry about the tase. I also drink beets and celery with ginger, lemon. Celery, carrots, kale, cayenne pepper,apple,ginger. Banana, blueberry, strawberry spinach cayenne pepper and coconut water. I use nutribullet and everyone always come out good.

Hi Dolores, it’s a great thing to know your interest in celery and it’s health benefits. But be careful how often you add celery in your foods when cooking. It’s sad to know that celery gains times 6 of extra calories when cooked. For instance, 1 stalk of celery in its raw state contains 6 calories. When this 1 stalk is cooked, the calorie content increases to 30. It’s better to often eat it raw than cooked if your goal includes weight loss/maintenance.

I’ve been drinking celery juice for a few years... my friends noticed my skin was clearer..they asked me what was I doing...Drinking a full 16-20oz glass quickly on an empty stomach, gave me the runs..so I drink it much slower.. 1 gulp at a time... over a 5 min helped to alleviate that condition somewhat...I juice Celery 5-7 days wkly....other friends tried it had stomach issues & stopped drinking celery juice...It’s been a positive experience for me...Try it for yourself..!

Most juice recipes always say to dilute with half water, why? however I never understood why, is it safe to have 💯 pure? What other juices do you prepare? @@sylviaanderson704 Sandra Westley , I do both it’s not a fast weight lose but it’s a very satisfying diet. Keto and 16/8 fasting each day I have lost 14 lbs since January. But the menu is excellent any of the Keto meals on KZbin I never feel hungry at all. So just try it, you don’t need to eat loads of fat if you have fat to lose, you want your body to live off the fat on your body not the food you eat, so see Keto Chaos she’s lost 207 lbs, and knows the in and outs about all of it.

I wasn't fasting but you can do a celery juice fast if you wish. I eat healthily, mostly plants and I had two more meals each day. Best to have the juice on an empty stomach and it doesn't when you have it so long as it is on an empty stomach. That means in the mornings or between meals

I agree the celery juice is not bad and to me it taste pretty good I could drink it every day but even though it doesn't give me the runs it does make me poop like 3 or 4 x a day. Very good video and it does give you a good feeling of well being.

Thanks for your time and information. I like the fact that, unlike other youtubers, you shared with us your experimentation results, it really means a lot and gives u credibility. I have a question: what if i blend the celery in the blender with a little water, will it be the same in terms of celery properties? I don' t have a juicer...i' ve stopped using them after a friend told me that i use a lot of nutrients juicing instead of blending. What is your input on this? Thanks and keep up the good work.

There's a difference between blending and juicing, Nikki. Of course you can blend it too. The main difference is the amount of celery that you can consume at any given time. That dose of celery juice i recommend comes from 2 bunches of celery, right? Now can you imagine blending 2 bunches of celery and drinking all of it in one session? Probably not. That's the difference. You get to use a lot more celery when you juice. If it bothers you, you don't have to throw the pulp away, add it to your soup and stews

I will be surprised if it gives you any gastrointestinal symptoms. Use it as often as possible. You can aim for 4 -5 times a week

This was highly informative for me as I have high blood pressure (mines stays around the 140s and has gotten as high as 170) and was wondering if celery may be too salty to juice alone. I have a similar mastication juicer by ivation, and I'm gonna try this but with perhaps a little less in ounces, I can't gulp that much down in one setting! No, I wasn't taking BP medications at the time. But that does not mean you should do the same. I had already come off BP medications at the time. Use the celery juice alongside your BP meds. If you're getting good and consistent results, i.e consistent good BP readings, then you can have a conversation with your doctor about the next step

Hi Dr Joe. Interesting review on Celery. Actually I wasn't aware that celery is naturally salty. I normally make a hefty combination salad with celery, kale, onions, garlic, hot peppers, cucumbers ... practically everything and anything I can retrieve from the fridge ... My salad takes up the majority of my plate. I would basically mix with ACV, Extra Virgin Olive oil with dash of cayenne, bitters, Himalayan pink salt. I really found that that I taste salt ...even when I'm easy on it. Does this mean that I should eliminate salt from my salad when I'm using a lot of celery 🤔??

Yes, eliminate the salt. The celery already has sodium but it's not a refined salt. If you're using it to eliminate inflammation you definitely shouldn't use salt at all. Inflammation causes a lot of health issues and celery will help bring down the inflammation considerably.

Yes, 16 oz (500 ml) is all you need for one day. I usually discard the pulp sadly because it is quite tasteless. That said, you can use it in baking recipes, use it to thicken soups and stews etc if you prefer. You don't have to throw yours away

Yes, there is a difference. With juicing you get to use up a lot more celery per session. For instance, you need 2 bunches to make 16 Oz of celery juice. You certainly cannot eat 2 bunches in one sitting. You get the idea...

This is so great. I was gung ho about celery juice and talking about it and all of a sudden I started seeing people talking about how celery juice is actually not healthy for you, it's in fact harmful. All of that after I went the easier route and bought two very expensive bags of powdered organic celery juice. This makes me feel better. Going to drink some now. 🙏🏽
