@@ArisAris-fs1ip YES ! And even most of the low fat _claims_ are a farce because to avoid fat they're doing other just as equally dangerous (or more) things to compensate and cut *THEIR* ingredient/ manufacturing costs. Fats are not ALL bad (depends on types) and are actually necessary to help with nutrient absorption etc. It's also why there's so much promotion writing on packaging (claims, trending buzz words, empty filler/legal) to overwhelm and distract from the basic *kernels* of actual truth, health and understanding .

Just to let you know that American products like Kraft Mac and cheese in Europe uses real cheese because they can't get away with what they do over there as they do here. Here to make their genetically modified soybean paste/mush look like cheese they color it with artificial yellow 5 or 6 and other preservatives. We vote with our dollars. When Americans become as intelligent as most Europeans are and stop buying these toxins they'll change the ingredients. I don't expect any change for the next decades.

Bravo ! A voice in the darkness ! I returned from a trip to Greece . Their attitude towards food , what they eat , how it’s grown , and the attention to quality of diet was inspiring . Homemade products are commonplace . Unbromated flour is the product of choice . Regenerative farming is on the rise . They shop daily . They walk . No obesity that I saw . The Europeans are miles ahead of us . They work hard and long . There’s always a pot of homemade food in the kitchen. Eating out is not the norm . As Americans we are allowing processed food and harmful additives to contaminate us . The FDA or whatever governing body that is designated to approve these harmful and sometimes carcinogenic ingredients is failing us . Our hard earned dollars are not bring use to protect us as American citizens . How can this be happening ? Is it about money snd greed ? Is it about control and falling short of a sincere commitment to our citizenry ? We need to get our “ house” in order . Before we send our tax dollars to other countries , we need to tend to our country . I’m truthfully so disappointed , discouraged and completely let down with those that are directing the food industry . I’ve lost trust and confidence . I’m frankly ashamed of what we’ve become . Thank you Dr for your unrelenting efforts to bring this travesty to light . Our people are wracked with disease . Our children are all suffering from one disorder or another . We need serious reform . We also need to educate our citizens since the processed food alternatives are the food of choice in most homes . Eating out is epidemic . Just go to Restsursnt Depot or Sysco and see what ingredients the restaurants are purchasing . Most of what I see there I round not purchase for my family . Yet, this is what the restaurants are serving . How about Bromated flour ? Bromate , a known carcinogen is in our flour unless stated otherwise on the packaging . Bread is heavily contaminated . Look at the paragraph of ingredients . Making sourdough or yeast bread is easy and inexpensive. 3 ingredients ! Store bought bread is a huge offender . Please add this to your list . We need help . Thank you again Dr Livingood .

I had 7 year old students on their periods probably from the hormones that are still injected into the animals we eat especially from fast "food". We dignify it by calling these chemicals and toxins foods. I lived in Greece for 13 years ( left back to USA during winter) At the time I didn't understand why I kept losing weight while I was there only to gain it all back and more when I returned back to USA. The food in restaurants is still home made over there. I do know that the chickens served in restaurants in Athens are injected with hormones. 6 million American children have been diagnosed with ADHD. There is already a link between artificial colors and additives to ADHD symptoms. In Europe when they want to die something to look red they use pomegranate juice and paprika. We use red dye #40.

Skittles These food dyes are often linked with hyperactivity in children and allergic reactions. On top of the food dyes, the colorful candy contains another iffy ingredient that has led to its ban in the European Union in 2022. Titanium dioxide (also known as E171) Brominated vegetable oil (BVO) (E443) Potassium bromate (E924) Azodicarbonamide (E927a) Propylparaben (E217) outlawed in EU but found in USA
@christinanielsen1917

Thank you for listing these. Only proves to me that the USA is NOT the best country in the world. Despite NEVER drinking alcohol or taking drugs including pharmaceutical meds I was diagnosed at UCLA by the head of endocrinology with a liver disease ( not fatty liver) my Scandinavian born alcoholic father whose mother gave him alcohol ( sherry) to keep him warm during Danish winters was 75 and didn't have any liver disease until he turned 86. He died at 88 but not from cirrhosis of the liver but by falling down on the way to the liquor store. I now realize I was taking drugs THE DRUGS IN MY FOOD! For 13 years I lived in Greece and visited several countries. I realized coca cola tasted less sweet in the 1990s than here. I saw protesters in European cities holding signs saying " NO FRANKENFOODS" it pains me that I didn't know what I was eating ( GMOs, pesticides, toxins, artificial colors and flavors and additives, etc...) I remember as a child only the elderly had type 2 diabetes but today I have classrooms and classrooms of obese students with not only diabetes but thyroid cancer, etc.... If you want to see poverty and obesity don't bother going to pasta eating Italy or cheese eating France just take a Greyhound bus through the south in USA. Look at the children. Did you see the almost 400 police officers responding to uvalde Texas murder? Almost everyone was overweight or obese.

@@christinanielsen1917 There loads of foods that are banned in the EU Washing chicken in chlorine and other disinfectants to remove harmful bacteria was a practice banned by the European Union (EU) in 1997 over food safety concerns. The ban has stopped virtually all imports of US chicken meat which is generally treated by this process. 1989 the E.U. banned the import of U.S. beef due to concerns over the use of these hormones. hormones to encourage fast weight gain. Twinkies and Little Debbie Swiss Rolls. ... Pillsbury Biscuits. ... Bread with Potassium Bromate. ... High Fructose Corn Syrup. ... American Pork. ... Chlorinated Chicken. Mountain Dew isn’t the healthiest thing in the world, but it gets even worse when you add in brominated vegetable oil. This ingredient is flame-retardant and has been used in American sodas for decades. In some, it can cause skin lesions, memory loss, and nerve problems. Milk While becoming less common in the United States, some dairy farms still practice the use of rBST in their milk. This is a hormone that causes increased milk production. However, it's been linked to a variety of health conditions including high rates of mastitis in cows that contaminate the milk with pus and antibiotics. Thanks to the use of rBST, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and the EU have banned milk and dairy products form the U.S. box of Kraft Mac and Cheese has food dye. While this brand has promised to go au natural, other brands still dye their food with yellow #5 and #6. These food additives are banned in Austria, Norway, and some other European countries because it can cause hyperactivity, increased cancer risk, and allergic reactions. These dyes can be found in countless other items including potato chips, jams, candy, drinks, pet food, shampoo, and even medications. Coffee-Mate is supposedly a great addition to your coffee, but is it? This item is banned in many countries including Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. The reason is simple: hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oils. These ingredients have been linked to heart disease. While the United States also banned these ingredients in 2018, officials did nothing about the existing product out there, meaning there’s still plenty of it floating around. Pork Ractopamine is a beta-agonist that’s used to increase protein synthesis in pork by reducing the overall fat content. While less fat may seem like a good thing, it's not a great hormone to have in our systems. Some studies show that up to 45% of pigs have been given ractopamine, and 20% of the ractopamine remains in the meat when we buy it from the store. For this reason, our pork is banned in 160 countries across Europe, Russia, China, and Taiwan. Frozen Dinners. Azodicarbonamide can be found in a variety of things including frozen dinners, breads, boxed pasta mixes, and packaged baked goods. It’s used to bleach flour and foamed plastic, like yoga mats and the soles of sneakers. It doesn’t sound too safe, and tests found that it can induce asthma. Anything containing azodicarbonamide is banned in Australia, the United Kingdom, and most European countries Sugar Kane Banned in the EU, crops in the United States can still be treated with Atrazine. It’s an herbicide that has a wide variety of uses, but it’s been known to cause birth defects, reproductive tumors, skin sensitization, and muscle degeneration. Another horrible thing about atrazine is that it easily leaks into the water supply and interferes with wildlife. Atrazine is most commonly found in sugar cane, where it’s used about 90% of the time. Chewing Gum While chewing gum is banned in some countries because people spit it onto the ground, the United Kingdom, Japan, and many other European countries ban it because it contains BHA. This chemical is used to preserve food and keep it from going bad, but it's known to cause cancer in rats. BHA can also be found in cereal, nut mixes, butter, meat, and dehydrated potatoes. Apples Ever wonder why apples were so shiny? Well, they’re glossed up using a mixture of chemicals that keep the fruit looking fresh for longer. It certainly makes apples look better, but it can also be dangerous for your body. The European Food Safety Authority recently blocked American apples because the chemicals (DPA) has been linked to various cancers. More research is needed, but Europe isn’t taking any chances banned More food banned Ketchup Potato Chips Palm Oil Stevia Peanut Butter Mustard Trans Fats Loads Moore Wonder why Europeans live longer? and slimmer? The Europeans put people health first, why in USA profit before people

In most European countries ESPECIALLY in Scandinavian countries PEOPLE come first. In the USA businesses like the pharmaceutical industry, etc.... and the market come first $$$$$$$$$. Most Americans especially in the South are completely unaware of not only what is in their food but all the artificial ingredients, pesticides, toxins, etc.... added to their "foods". We dignify it by calling these chemical concoctions food. We have been told from the moment we enter school how lucky we are to be American and how were the best country in the world. I once believed that too until I traveled. I do not credit my college education with educating me but my travels especially in Europe. I lived mostly in Greece for over a decade and despite EATING and EATING and EATING I kept losing weight only to gain it all back after returning to the USA. I didn't know that in Greece, Italy, France Denmark, Ireland, etc...I was eating REAL food not like in the USA. I now know these fake ingredients not only cause diabetes and cancer but inflammation leading to organ damage etc... plus they don't properly digest so the slimy remnants remain in you and aren't excreted. I used to buy Linda McCartneys health foods at Mark's and Spencer's in the early 1990s. I didn't know about GMOs then or about organic food but hearing about this food put me on a path to discover what caused my liver diagnosis ( never drank alcohol or took drugs.... except for the drugs in my "food".

The entire food industry in the States would have to be totally transformed and changed. After all, what good is it if citizens buy food from farmers who spray chemicals that are banned in Europe and contained in the plants in the USA? Or cows and pigs get feed that is also genetically modified or contaminated with chemicals, these substances are also contained in the meat. It would be the same if a fireman tried to put out a fire with oil. The fire continues to burn but even stronger.

A calorie is a unit of energy. Specifically, it is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius at a pressure of 1 atmosphere, equivalent to about 4.184 joules. It is not physically feasible for the human body to achieve the exact process of raising 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius through digestion, as described in the definition of a calorie. The body metabolizes food through complex biochemical processes, converting nutrients into energy stored as ATP, rather than directly converting food energy into heat in a straightforward manner like in bomb calorimetry. The energy from food is used for various bodily functions rather than being directly released as heat.

The female mice eating a genetically modified diet had liver disease ( HUGE tumor) and the males had kidney cancer. It was taken off the Internet for awhile and the scientist/researcher got death threats as did Ignacio chapella fired from his job as a professor at Berkeley for showing what's being put in Mexicos corn by then monsanto.

Well before I was saying same but after last fiasco when Aussies and British folks stood in line for a portion of concussion the only nation was standing and shouting loud was USA. All folks I know from usa are pure blooded all I know folks from Europe 99% got fooled. And when last summer I visit Sweden I asked young later at the bar did government pressured you - she was shocked 😳 and said no , we all took it without any pressure since our beloved government knows what’s best for us . 🤬 SO HERE IS HIGH IQ SCANDINAVIA :) my arsssse

What I have learnt from watching videos such as yours on KZbin is that American food in general is quite awful. It is profit driven rather than quality driven. As a result of this profiteering process, such things as chlorine washed chicken end up on the supermarket shelves. The foul practice compensates for poor hygiene behaviour elsewhere in the supply chain (for example on farms), and that consumers are better protected by a system that doesn’t allow processors the simple ‘get-out’ of treating their chicken with chemicals. gets chlorine filled chicken. American cheese is simply vile and may lead to sodium overconsumption. As such, it may increase your risk of developing high blood pressure. American cheese is high in saturated fat and sodium, both of which may increase the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease. American food in general is ultra-processed and comprised 57.9% of energy intake, and contributed 89.7% of the energy intake from added sugars. The content of added sugars in ultra-processed foods (21.1% of calories) was eightfold higher than in processed foods (2.4%) and fivefold higher than in unprocessed or minimally processed foods and processed culinary ingredients grouped together (3.7%). Both in unadjusted and adjusted models, each increase of 5 percentage points in proportional energy intake from ultra-processed foods increased the proportional energy intake from added sugars by 1 percentage point. Consumption of added sugars increased linearly across quintiles of ultra-processed food consumption: from 7.5% of total energy in the lowest quintile to 19.5% in the highest. A total of 82.1% of Americans in the highest quintile exceeded the recommended limit of 10% energy from added sugars, compared with 26.4% in the lowest. Basically American food is dangerous for your health and shouldn’t be consumed, even if you are dying of starvation. Better to eat one’s own faeces.
