@caleighhh5935 they referred to them as over the counter pills or supplements you take to increase fat metabolism or expend energy, impair fat absorption, increase weight loss, increase fat oxidation during exercise, or somehow cause long-term adaptations that promote fat metabolism. The natural fat burners like Cayenne Pepper pill are natural; therefore, they are less threatening to your body. Some are too harsh because certain manufacturers put excessive amounts of caffeine and unnatural chemicals in them, and it can be an overload on your heart.

My wife went from 235, height of 5'3", to 155 in 16 months doing sustainable weightloss through cutting all fried food, fast food, and processed foods, and eating lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and whole grains at every meal. She also exercise her hobby rather than a temporary thing. She goes to a cross fit class twice a week, a yoga class once a week, and runs two 5Ks a week now. She has ran two half marathons and is training for a full marathon. She still ate about 2,000 calories a day while loosing weight. You do not have to do a crash diet, or a diet at all. @m332653 ай бұрын
@@WendyPendy26 Its because enough protein do 2 things. Repairs body, including homones and enzymes and have big thermic effect. So if you eat protein, 25 pct of energy in this protein must be taken from other body source, if you have right now glucose above gluconeogenesis baseline (4-5 grams of glucose in whole body), this glucose will be used to burn this protein. If you have insulin resistance, most obese people have, your body cant reach to fat for energy, so eating protein can make you low in energy, because burning this fat, only one source for your body is gluconeogenesis production, so good idea right now is start giving your body some fat, to be used as energy source for burning this protein. If you have not insulin resistance, your body can take energy from your fat storage whenever it needs. But in this case, you will not be obese. Obesity equals high blood sugar or high insulin getting rid of this high glucose not belonging to your body. People know exactly how much glucose needs right know, makes by gluconeogenesis perfect amount fo you. So only way to lean body is some form of keto diet, but with fats instead of carbs as energy source. Much energy dense source, full of vitamins / minerals. Processed carbs are empty calories leading to malnutrition, second part of obesity.

I respect you as a doctor and I appreciate your concern for your patients. I can see that you truly care. In my experience after I had my 3rd child in October 2010. In January of 2011, 3 months after giving birth I started using the HCG injections along with the 500 calorie diet which is basically starvation! 😬Although in saying that, from January 2011 to June 2011, I lost a total of 70 lbs. I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy but still lost 70 lbs. After I discontinued the injections, I added more calories to my diet including lean meat, vegetables of any kind and all of the fruit that I could get my hands on. After a month of adding more calories to my diet I got on the scales and had continued losing more weight! That blew me away because my bodies metabolism went through the roof and I continued losing even more weight. I actually lost 9 more lbs. At that point I thought I was way to skinny and added more food to my diet to regain those 9 lbs. I don’t know all of the Science behind it, but with my experience, I lost more weight than I anticipated and felt wonderful! I have fibromyalgia and the diet took away my pain! I kept my weight off for 5 years. After those 5 years I went through a period where I couldn’t sleep! I was hospitalized with insomnia and was on seroquel in order to sleep! It took 2 years suffering with insomnia for the doctors to finally prescribe this medication!! I was so thankful to finally sleep again. Here’s the bad part! After taking seroquel for 3 months, I gained 50lbs. At the present time I am 40 lbs overweight but I CANNOT live without my sleep meds! Seroquel messes with the hunger center of your brain and let me tell you. I would wake up in the middle of the night and devour anything that I could get my hands on!! 😩In 2019 I had to fight that hunger for months which was almost impossible. I started taking HCG again and lost 30 lbs. Fighting through the night time hunger while on HCG was horrible, but I did lose 30lbs before vacation. Right after vacation, I gained every bit of my weight back. When I ate whatever I wanted during vacation, it was impossible for me to get back on the HCG. Not because it didn’t work for me, I was just simply burnt out trying to eat the same food again!! Now here in 2022, I don’t even know where to start.

It’s been solidly prove that the people with some of the most strenuous jobs (coal mining) vs sedentary office workers were metabolising at the same rate regardless of calories burned. The body compensates by limiting other functions. Also most of the research that recommends exercise over diet was funded by fast food corporations, particularly Coca-Cola.

@@a2isha ok so short answer: - if you build up muscle as in hypertrophy training, you will automaticly burn more calories at rest and with wahtever you do active so that helps to loose fat -all muscles are good but in special large ones so glutes, legs in general, somewhat chest, belly and back. not so much arms but why not. - cardio is great for health but for burning fat you should workoput at around 50-60% of your max heartrate so usually around 120-130 bpm, if you break a sweat but can still talk - its fine. i recommend low intensity but long workouts - an hour walking doesnt burna s mucha s an hour running but 2 hours walking beats an hour of running. that said be careful with your joints, if you are overweight it might be wiser to do cycling and swimming until you loose some weight and strengthen your leg ligaments. -weight loss also happens in the kitchen, try eating more vegetable, fruit and proteine and less bread, high processed foods (fast &junk food) - DONT do diets they usually suck. its better to change your habits a bit. dont go crazy, if you want chocolate and ice cream eat it just...eat less of it and enjoy. - try to not drink your calories so avoid milk, juices, sodas (unless they are zero sugar or low calory like 3-4 calories / 100ml is ok) - drink 3-4 litres of fluids a day, ideally green tea, ginger tea, peppermint, black tea , black coffee. - drink cold. your body needs 1calroy to heat up 1litre by 1 degree so you can burn about 100kcal a day just from drinking your drinks with some ice. - eat hot. and i mean spicy. chili, onions, pepper, curry - the hotter the more you burn while digesting. - weight loss is about being persistant. small changes really add up even if they dont look like much ion their own. walking tot he shop nstead of car, takign stairs instead of lift - it really adds up. -try to make your life you enjoy more active. ima gamer so i get a controller and play from a hometrainer. i also got a minio trainer for under the desk while at the office. heck youc an just stand instad of sitting when watching tv or walk in place.

The program had Coach/nutritionist who tailored my program based on my body type, composition, activity level, and when I got back to advance activities we shifted from calorie counting to learn about balancing macros and they helped me with healthy snacking options. I did start off lower calorie, and lost 40lbs, but once my activity level advanced to HIIT with Orange Theory Fitness...low calories were not an option and they recognized that quickly. My Coach at Medifast helped me navigate a 3000 calorie higher protein nutrient dense diet and I continued to see inches just fall off, without weight change but great muscle tone. I’ve always eaten like a bird, I have dairy sensitivity so I don’t have much of that and I got to the gym 3-4 days a week. My arms and legs are slimming down but my midsection is still the same. I have never understood people who say you don’t lose weight from working out. I tired everything to lose weight after I gained a ton of weight from medication and menapause. In a year I’ve lost a total of 40 pounds by doing nothing but an hour a day on the peloton. I am 56 and I am still losing. Plus, I feel so much better.

Thank you for saying this, Doc. Most important - don't just go work out and expect much to happen. Sure it's good, but if you want to lose weight, you have to change your eating habits forever. Eat less calories and eat BETTER calories. Fill yourself up with better things. Unfortunately hunger still rears its head....and for those who can, Wegovy/Mounjaro/etc are doing amazing things, making us not feel like eating....makes us feel full. And not eating as much is what makes the difference.

I needed to lose approximately 25 pounds and so far I’ve lost 15 pounds in a short amount of time just by stopping sugars and anything made out of flour. I measure and don’t have more than four or 5 ounces of protein at each of the three meals I have as much vegetable and tossed green salad at each meal. The only starch or grains I would have on occasion would be maybe 1-2 ounce of brown rice, oats, quinoa, amaranth, black or pinto beans, lentils, yam, or potato. If I absolutely have to have something sweet, I will have a Zevia beverage. Absolutely never have artificial sweeteners such as Splenda, Nutri sweet, aspartame, sucralose and the like; VERY UNHEALTHY-plus retains fluid, messes around with brain chemistry, even as well as G.I. health. Very bad. Simple sugars from one or two fruits per day is enough. I love red meat, but from quitting red meat one and a half years ago my LDL cholesterol went way down about 50 points and to me that’s worth it though I love red meat. I eat mostly poultry, seafood, and high-quality protein powder, as well as eggs and occasional Greek yogurt, and some cheese. I love pork chops once in a while, cooked with onions and peppers and mushrooms. Very occasionally, I will have a small amount of lentil pasta. It is so worth it having clothes fit better feel better and look better. fullofFaith.com It’s a free supportive program.

Obesity is not only about calorie restriction, its about high dense complex foods and proper body nutrition. These high dense complex real foods (eggs, fatty read meat, beef tallow, fish, butter, bacon...) makes you more satisfied for longer time, so in fact you will eat less calories in the same time. Not as hunger making carbs. Complex foods means foods you dont need to supplement by something else. So make these foods 80 - 100 pct of your diet and you are winner. Possible malnutrititon caused by only calorie counting will not improve your health, because your body will not have nutrients to improve you overall health, hormones, enzymes, processes in your body. Your body can repair by itself (and loose weight) but must have enough micro and macro nutrients to do (repaired hormones etc.). Many people starts loosing weight on 3000 calories diet and more, some people must eat 6000 calories a day, but must eat foods not sky rocketing their insulin.

That's right...exercise alone doesn't necessarily move the scale. But it's not only "good for your health" if he means your heart. Especially if you do things to strengthen your muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may have lost fat, but the muscle weight gain won't show you how much fat you've lost. More muscle means more calorie burning. All great things to help in better health including weight loss.

We lost his dad when he was 10, he's had periods of major depression since then, and his weight fluctuates. He lost 210lbs before the pandemic, but, well...gained that back and then some. He's working on it again.

The only way I lost weight was 600-800 calories a day. I kept it off too I needed to see quick results, or I would just fall back into old eating habits. I never bought any program, or used any company supplied food. I just found I don't need to eat so much 1200 calories, or 2000 calories whatever you want to say it is way too much for me. I'm small person only 5.6 about 5.5 which is short for a man. I think that is where I always gone wrong listening to the so called "Experts". The end goal is weight loss I dropped 50 lbs. in the first 4 months about 10lbs a week. I'm not hungry or weak. The truth is humans lived on this planet long before doctors ever knew anything.

I was so irritated all the time and I even remember my doctor asking me why am I on it and she’s pretty sure there’s no clinical reviews that it actually works. I did lose some weight, but that’s because I was in such a crazy deficit (500 cal per day). Miserable way to try and lose weight. I found eating healthy and just dropping alcohol from my diet helped me lose 70 lbs and get back down to my normal 145 lbs!

I have been burning an extra 200 calories a day through exercise for about 13 months, which is 75,000 calories or just about a twenty pound deficit over a year. I’ve lost more like 10-12 pounds, but the first thing that the consistency with exercise helped with was stabilizing my weight. It took a solid six months before I really saw results. If you *only* added exercise, but you did religiously for long enough, you would see some weight loss, slowing down of gain, or stabilization. It’s math, but it’s a long term deal.

You can also try eating healthier breads or replacing your bread with healthier carbs. Are you eating enough protein for your weight and height and activities? You can also try finding a dietician who can help you determine the best lifestyle for you if you need more help understanding your bodies needs. Hope you figure it out. ❤️

My bed ridden, disabled family member lost 400 pounds, most of it without exercise because he could not walk. He did not use the word obese. He used the word FAT. He lost weight because he quit eating like a fat man … that is, he quit overeating. He taught himself how to walk again ( uses a cain), though it’s very difficult. Initially he ate anything in reasonable proportion. The last of the weight came off when he switched to fish ( no red meats or chicken or pork), no processed foods and rarely any sweets. He does have milk, eggs, potatoes, pasta, a lot of salsa, ice cream and few times a month, no juices, ‘some’ dark bread occasionally. He eats like a King, is skinny, not that much fat hanging. He still calls himself a fat man.

That last one was the most important. I used to think I could outlift and out run my alcohol consumption and average diet. It took 10 years to realize it can’t be done. Whatever alcohol does to metabolism, it doesn’t seem to matter if your calories in are less than calories out. I got fatter by drinking vodka waters and only eating grilled chicken breast, tuna, and spinach. That’s about as lean as you can possibly get on the food side…no wasted calories. All protein and very low glycemic carbs. I still maintained, if not gained more fat. You have to cut out alcohol completely if you want real results.
