What do you think about the camera? Both at night/bad light and day, mostly because of the 4MP camera, I'm a bit skeptical of it, tbh ('cus the other top phones have up to 16-20 MP now). But I've read a bit about S5, and a lot of people say it's not as good as it should be, so that's why I've got my eyes on the M8, which one of these do you think is the best as of right now? I got the HTC One X, and it wasn't THAT good, the battery was bad, and it was quiet slow, so I changed as soon as S4 came out and I've been satisfied with it, but I must say the M8 makes me consider going back to HTC again. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post, haha!

An ultrapixel is about 4 times the size of a regular pixel which puts the HTC at about 16 MP. It has a better camera than LG G3 and is pretty even with Z2. S5 is better than both though.

I have a HTC m8 got it two months ago. I find its prossessing is very slow compared to the galaxys3 I had before. I'm wondering if this is normal or is there another place deeper I can go to close apps? Like the galaxy. I close my apps on my front pull down screen as well as that double window icon to the left of home button and close there. doesn't seem to speed up my phone! :(

OK so one question concerning the screen gestures. Let's say you set a 4 number pin password on the phone. If you do any of those hand gestures (like swiping to the left which unlocks the phone completely) will it still require you to enter in the 4 digit pin code? Sorry if this is a bit of a "stupid" question, but I was concerned for the security of the phone when I saw that.

I'm really considering this phone around April time. the main phones i'm looking at is the z3 (both compact and normal) the s5, the htc one m8 and the lg g3. The only thing that is making me a bit reluctant on buying this device or the z3 is not having a removable back, i hate when my battery drains too much (i have a iPhone 5c at the minute and i have to charge the phone at least twice a day as i'm a heavy user) so not being able to change the battery futher down the line would annoy me, and maybe the camera on this phone. I think that the 5.5 inch screen on the LG G3 is a bit too big as im not a fan of phones with huge screens 5+ inches! which leaves me with the samsung s5, but looking at reviews it seems to get bad press, any help on this predicament would be greatly appreciated as i'm stuck myself.

some complain that it's camera is only 4mp. but I think they were targeting a group with that. so many people are into posting what they are eating, etc, etc. a 20 mp camera isn't needed for that type of thing. I think this smaller mp camera was targeting more of that group of people. I'm a photographer and I was really hoping for a follow-up to the nokia 1020, but I chose this phone. I always have my camera with me anyway, I hardly ever take photos with my phone. I wanted a phone for a phone.

For the bloatware Verizon puts on its android phones, easiest way to get rid of it is to go into settings>app manager> all> then go to the apps you want gone, and tap: clear data>clear cache> then either uninstall and/or disable>uncheck show notifications.. it's a huge pain in the butt to do for every single one, but it's the most fool proof way to get rid of the bloatware.

I was pretty set in my ways with Apple and with that said as you know they do make a great product. I had originally planned on getting the iPhone6 but a couple of days before decided to get the HTC one m8 because of great reviews. The first day in a half I was really wondering if I had made the right move mostly because I didn't know my way around the android being used to iPhone setup. By the end of the second day I was falling in love with my new phone. Watching a couple of video tutorials like this one helped a lot. Seeing what I see now I would likely never go back to Apple again, though said I still think they are a great product. My only complaint with the HTC was that its music player want rich in features so I simply downloaded powerampe. Other than that this phone so far is 100% pure awesome! Sorry for the lengthy post and thanks for your reply Fernando.

***** yeah i agree with everything you mentioned and comically the music player was my #1 concern because apple made it plug and play practically where you change one thing on itunes and it auto makes the changes on the iphone. Have you been able to do this on the M8? like auto synch your music library and playlists etc.? I actually went to see the m8 it was fucking awesome sorry for asking such basic questions it's just i'm out here in Bolivia haha and don't have my local AT&T or w/e to go to :(

Fernando I don't mind the basic questions one bit. I have only been using the power amp app for few days so I am not able to answer that question but with that said my friend uses an app called media money and he says you can sync your songs with that. He all also claims that if you buy the past version that you can do it all via Wi-Fi. I can't confirm that but he generally knows what he is talking about. Get the phone Fernando, you'll love it. Let me know if you do. Like I said before I like the iPhone but this takes the cake.

for all the awesome things you can change and edit in the camera, why does the camera not fucking let you choose resolution or even give an option to choose size or quality? you would think that would be the easiest option to do but i just want to make sure the resolution i'm taking is the highest it can be. i'm assuming it is since it won't let me change the res but if i want to take smaller photos, i have to edit the photo later, which is dumb, and i can't just choose 640x480 or something like that. is changing the resolution really not possible?

i have 2 problems on my htc m8! 1. u cant change the weather widget on lock screen or delete it right ? 2. when u unlock the screen and u put a panel to ur home screen, it work only with the house button but not when u try directly to move to ur home panel from unlocking screen. if u can do it than show me how to do it.

I just wanna know how to use the phone and how to get it NOT to shut down when I'm sending info to the ER. I'm a paramedic and this doctor wanted us all to have "smart" phone, except Mary (our trauma nurse) refused to get one. She's 2 years from retirement and "doesn't want a phone that's smarter than [she] is." I don't think it's such a good idea for it to turn off while you're trying to send patient info to the ER.

The home screen Wallpaper change was always like that. You didnt have to go into the menu, just press it and change it. That was even with my Rhyme and with my one mini M4 like that!
