Drone Lubbock, Texas

Drone flying over Lubbock, Texas shows some nice aerial views of this city. I personally love when I get to a town with brick roads that are still maintained and offset the architecture which together create the perfect atmosphere for days gone by. I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.

Lived in Lubbock 3 years. Originating from. Scotland it was a rude awakening. As others have said the people were very friendly but man oh man I missed the hills ,greenery ,rain showers and trees of Caledonia. It was a worthwhile experience but man it was a geographical challenge . Now firmly ensconced back in Scotland . My wandering days are over.

Moved to Lubbock from Colorado I forgot how flat it is! My twin daughters were born there (now 38). Many fond memories and the folks there are the best in the world. In 1980 my company had our first Christmas party in a restaurant that was on top of that one building that is tallest gray and brick. Being from Colorado I always thought cotton came from aspirin bottles until we moved there LOL. Thanks for the memories James!

Its flat, its beige, but damned if I didn't love my four years living there. Friendly people, great fun, surprising amount of nature from hiking to fishing, university sports are fantastic. Best town in west Texas.

Great job. Texas must have very relaxed rules about flying in towns. Noticed there doesnt seem to be any bicycle lanes. Is Lubbock not bicycle friendly? So flat I'd think people would be riding everywhere.

Really interested in Texas cities and from the ground this place looked so....uninspiring from other videos. I guess I was expecting Austin or Fort Worth since I've seen those places that had major colleges and they surprised the hell out of me. But from the air the place doesn't look too bad. It could use a bit more here and there but it's not bad. The expressway nearby looked neat and maintained as well. It all reminds me of upstate New York. I'll be visiting there and Amarillo later this year, hope it's a good time! Quite a few New Yorkers (where I'm from) are actually fond of Texas Tech.

Mario, I have all the cities you mentioned. @Lil Joey Red Blue Over a period of time, that'll change. It was only thirty years ago that Austin was just a college town. Look at the place TODAY. Much change. Downtown is drastically different now. And I believe the same will happen in Lubbock.
