We have just recently started Tai Chi class with Age concern, @ we are enjoying the exercises, so I have bought the beginners dvd @ also the tai chi for arithritis, and keeping it up daily if possible. I feel so much better now. So thank you Dr Paul Lam

Amanda, it was done a long time ago, we have improved and if you wish try Tai Chi for Beginners or Energy. Tai Chi for Senior is now replaced by Tai Chi for Beginners. In any case, age is just a number, senior is just a term. In this case i am senior to you since I am 71.

@greentaigi You make excellent points. Tai Chi has become profit. lots of complex coordinated forms to learn requiring many classes or lots of DVDs. Cheng man-ching's form is adequate for everyone who wants benefit from Tai Chi. But many older people can't remember the synchronised movements without constant instruction which requires financial outlay on continued classes. That's why Chinese Wand is easier, more cost effective and comprehensive - suitable for everyone and every ailment.

There re many kinds and variations of some martial arts and exercise systems. People find what is suitable for them. As a personal and group instructor, I use many different types of techniques. I like the sun style of Tai Chi and the Yang style. Others may prefer the Chen style. No problem. True, there is a profit aspect but there are costs involved with teaching and costs involved producing DVDs. The question is: do they help people achieve their health and fitness goals? I believe they do.

Terry Dunn has excellent Tai Chi videos if u check out Amazon(.)com He has one for Short Form and one that is Long Form.

anyone is welcome to practice tai chi, almost from any age would benefit from tai chi. Sorry I dont understand what you mean by senior?

@@drpaullamtaichiproductions Hi -- yes, I appreciate that tai chi has benefits for all ages. I was just referring to the introduction voiceover, in which the man says 'tai chi for seniors' and then states that this program is designed for people 'over the age of 50'. The connection is obvious: if you're over 50 you're an oldie or a 'senior'. As someone in the full vigour of my prime, I did find that slightly insulting. My 92-year-old grandma is a 'senior': I'm not. I can do programs for young adults as well as middle-aged adults: I and most people in their fifties don't need a 'special' program designed for old folks!

I have purchased several Dr. Lams TAi Chi for Seniors. Cannot find copies now, only used ones for $30. They are perfect for teaching older people. My 9- year old gma’s balance seriously improved from cart to walking
