Hes fast because 1 his reaction time is the best 0.69 2 his underwaters go all the way to 15 meters 3 his strokes are fast and powerful 4 his finish is great The weakest part of his race is prob the turn even though its still fast
@iicettea4 жыл бұрын
0.69 is not that fast, about avg. I would say
@erickm88554 жыл бұрын
@Bryson Reins the reaction time is the time from the buzzer to the swimmer leaving the block
@avocatious64022 жыл бұрын
I'd say his turns are one of the best. How can they not be? He dominated scy when he was a collegiate swimmer. Also, a lot of elite swimmers go to 15 meters, so it's not just getting there, he simply does it faster. If anything his stroke would be his weakest attribute (except for fly), but even that is world class, and definitely above other elite athletes

Reda, thanks for reaching back out. I appreciate your interest. I was in Rio myself covering the Olympics. It can be confusing about how they award medals, but here's what I learned. An athlete may not swim the final relay but if he is on the relay team and it wins gold, he wins gold, too. That's why Caeleb won a second gold medal in Rio. Here's one reference, information you'll see on many reliable websites: swimswam.com/bio/caeleb-dressel

I will agree, his comment about no bubbles in the hands, really? It's not about any of that, its more about the power and the acceleration of swinging his arms forward to pull again, and longevity of his streamlines. You start talking about bubbles in hands and lines of starting block pose, I'm out of here.
