I was diagnosed with arthritis in my hands two years ago. Four month ago I injured my right knee while chasing my 7 year old granddaughter (at her request) in the yard. I had no immediate pain, but the following day I had pain in the back of my knee. A day after that, I had medial and lateral pain in my knee. Saw a sports medicine doc 6 weeks later who gave me a cortisone shot. , with no other suggestions. Had some short term relief until the pain eventually returned. I did these exercises today and got immediate relief. Was unable to tightly bend my knee or extend my knee without pain before doing the exercises. Hard to believe a sports medicine doc had no suggestions other than the cortisone shot. Thank you for posting this. It's a great service to those of us who've been misguided by unknowing sports medicine docs. I'm 74 and, as I old my PCP, riding my bicycle is my link to sanity these days. I ride 2,000 miles/year and was beginning to struggle with depression because of the knee pain. Now, I am optimistic again. So, thanks again...

Weeks of agony, swollen aching knees, too much Ibuprofen, worrying that I’m doomed to chronic pain. The first exercise did the trick…after a few reps, while uncomfortable , obviously relieved pressure in my knees and now two days later I’m pain free and able to walk and climb stairs, I am so grateful I watched this doctor and I thank him for generously sharing his knowledge.

Adam , you are a GENIUS ! I’ve had OA for a year in my knee and my dr says I need a knee replacement. I’ve been watching videos etc looking for anything to AVOID THIS SURGERY . I watched your video 2 days ago , went on Amazon , ordered the exact weights you said . 10 lbs each . I did the 3 mins once last night . That’s it so far. For the first time in forever I can honestly say my knee feels significantly better after trying these exercises. Update - It has been two months now and my life has been completely transformed. After seeing multiple doctors and trying to mask the pain with medication, I was resolved to live the rest of my life in pain. The pain would get so bad that I was not a very nice person to be around. I would snap at others for even the most minor things. Now, however, I am no longer taking handfuls of pills or lathering on tubes of Volteran gel. I wake up and can immediately get out of bed to start my day. I am taking the stairs at work and have even lost a few pounds due to my increased mobility. If you are on the fence and have tried everything, give these stretches a try. What do you have to loose? The best part is that I can keep up with my 14 month old granddaughter now. Thank you guys so much for this video!

It worked like a magic! I was having pain on the back of my knee when i resumed running after my jones fracture surgery (8 months later). I have been running 3 times a week, 20-25 mins each in a moderate pace. But after my 10th run, i started to have pain on the back of my knees. But after doing this, the pain is just gone! Alhamdulillah!

My knees have been killing me for weeks and they are particularly bad these days, stumbled on this video while looking up ways to relieve the pain. The second exercise felt so good! I really felt a good stretch in my knee and it feels like a lot of the pain and discomfort went away. Don’t do any exercises just do fasting Absolutely I’m feeling great after intermittent fasting I eat twice and between these two meals only water water I love water I am 60 years of old had lots of knee pain back pain everything gone I can run now I got more energy then before mental clarity is great don’t feel fatigue

I injured myself as a kid due to messing around and fell awkwardly on my right knee. Due to that my knee experiences unbearable cramps from time to time especially when sitting in confined spaces. But I fell over again a month ago and it transferred to my left knee instead and is more tender. I just found this video now and it relieved some of the tension I was feeling. Thank you for that.

I just had arthascopic knees surgery 18 days ago on my right knee for the 2nd time. I'm feeling discouraged and disappointed as I thought I would be doing so much better at this point of my healing journey. Greetings from London, Dr Rowe, you have no idea how much I appreciate your very simple but effective knee joint exercises. I played basketball from pretty much in high school and college days. I'm now 58 y/o and for over a month now I'm bothered by pain discomfort on my left knee. I had just tried this and it works. My pain had gotten to the point I had to use a walking stick. I did these exercises and I felt everything loosen up to the point I don’t need the walking stick. The pain is still there but these exercises are working. Thank you for this

I am going to try this as the same thing happens with me. I wake up in the middle of the night nearly crying and if I sit to long in a car or space moving is a nightmare. 25 year old here and my mom has a history of arthritis. I haven't been officially diagnosed but I already know when it flares up its arthritis.

I was just officially diagnosed with arthritis in both knees at 58 years old. This was no surprise as I’ve had knee problems all of my life. Add to that the bone jarring cadence of Army jogging and you have issues for life. This technique brought more relief to me in a few minutes than the injections and topical prescribed ointment have in the last three months. Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for this. Chiropractors like Dr. Rowe are very helpful for many problems that regular doctors do not touch. My chiro was an athlete who would do a full range of motion test on me, analyze the problem, then give me solutions. He would also direct me to surgery or x rays if needed, which was rare.

I saved many of your videos and this one is yet another gem. I have a weak right knee with a meniscus and cartilage that is a bit dodgy, sometimes when i bend down then it snaps badly and inflammates, giving me 2-3 days of pain i need to treat with elastic band + ice. Now i had a little of pain left on the knee since it happened again after working on my car bending down the other day, and the pain is gone like 90%, still have a little left. You're the best man I've had a ligament added to my knee after my previous surgery didn't work out to well and have been struggling with my knee being stiff for months and now in 2 days I've significantly improved my bending.

So I play basketball it's my love. Doctor's told me I have arthristis, couldn't believe it. However all my pain is in the back of my knee and sometimes the sides. I just finished playing today, had pain everywhere on it but I used my massage gun then stumbled across this video. Did the exercises and it helped, pain is not completely gone but definitely a difference. Will continue every day and update on the progress

I get some persistent stiffness pain behind my knee and back of my thigh whenever I sit in a car with a bent knee for over an hour or so. The second exercise fixed it instantly . Thank you

I did the first recommended stretch and it really did work amazingly well.Id had quite severe knee pain for about a week after doing some squats which left my knee sore and i suspect it may be arthritic.I am walking better and pain seems to have disappeared instantly...Thank you!!

This really worked. I had knee surgery a couple of years ago, and was having bad knee pain. I tried both methods and was able to get my knee to fully bend in all the way without pain. I did try the towel method, but I sat on the couch and pulled in my leg as it was more comfortable than sitting down on it. I was able to control it better.

I started to play basketball just recently and due to me not doing many things relating to moving my legs or bending my knee much, doing jumpshots and running around was a big shock on my knee. After I did the 2nd method it really helped! One thing I'm not too sure about is my upper knee, after trying this I was able to walk up and down stairs comfortably but jumping was still uncomfortable in the upper knee while the lower part is fine.
