I agree about ml elena, if it was a passive like belian that as long as she's there you can't counter attack, than it would be a lot more valuable, but this, it's just gonna get cleansed. The ice ranger tho, yeah, i feel like you gonna see a lot of those at 300 speed, that just sleeps your opener and reset your whole team.

I feel melena was meant mostly as a cleave unit - it shuts down counters to potentially keep your squish units alive, then basically gives you a second tagahel (assuming she uses observer) so that her soulburn is more or less free). Since her crit rate is high, the first thing that comes to mind is Ml Pavel, to have something like acidd, him and melena+4th, for a basic cleave. Alternatively, she could also wear Lua's arti in more of a bruiser style of match to try and turn any dps into a stene (assuming the opponent is running stuff like violet, rem or generally slower counter units. Granted, the opponent could bring stuff like Emilia, diene or handman to cleanse it, so I think she's mostly fit for cleave comps. Delibet still amazing

Lua seems really strong, I think I'm kind of with you in thinking that Alena is gonna be really strong in arena/gw but harder to use in RTA, in RTA she'll just be a 4th or 5th pick, but I think you build Alena as a dps hero, assuming she can actually deal damage with a damage build, she'll be strong as a dps for your team who can also shut down counters

There is some overlap between the s2 sleep and s3 cd increase. I can see using s3 first and then using s2 just to cycle s3 cooldown back faster

I'll have to pick up Lua & get back to the Wyvern grind. As for Astrogirl, I don't know, I'm able to get her & the choice is her, Solitaria or hold. I may just pull her if she's solid in Guild Wars, but she doesn't excite me enough to spring for her & with Lua coming down the pipe, poised to make any non-cleaver's life hell, well, it might be wiser to save for ML Ray who will definitely be made into a Lua counter.

Units like Rimuru, Cerato and Ed who attack when certain conditions are meet are considered counter attacks or EXTRA ATTACKS? This is important as most of the units who "Counter" in the meta are like that, they don't counter specifically but attack when they're S2 procs, if this new debuff doesn't negates that then it's more useless than we think, Rem, Violet and Ed will cleanse that debuff anyways and Cerato will even pass it on to you. Like in another video, I think that if it was a party wide Seal it will be more useful as it will stop most of the meta units we consider are "Counter" ones and it will also stop their core mechanics in it's tracks, it will also stop one of her more versatile counters which is her own RGB version on Doctor's Bag and S3 cleanse EE. Also what the heck is that S2? XD, that's underwhelming AF, units like Handguy and Layka do that with basic attacks, at least make it every 2 turns...

Extra attacks not counter, so they will still go through, zerato shouldn't be able to cause his transfer is a counter not extra attack. Rem's s2 shouldn't proc, but ed, rimiru, meru full rain

Lua does 30% its everyone but the target so if target A takes a turn B C and D take damage from Beguile.

Me when Smilegate announced Straze Buffs: "Release OP cleave units so you could push counters as its counter, then make cleave uncounterable." Oh boy, classic SG strikes again. Lua's beguile is 30% max hp per unit, since it procs all on /other/ heroes. Also, soulburn to ignore ER is so terrible - you missed Lua has the soulburn, while talking quite a bit about the 15% potential... (Lua's S1's animation is top notch though.) P.S. Last night, someone asked what we predict their kits will be like, I said, "Stupid," and boy was I right.

Astromancer just seems a bit unexciting, and doesn’t have a place anywhere in the rta meta right now. If you released this in 2020 it would be cool but counters are more of a luxury than a necessity nowadays. Even if you’re cleaving most anticleave drafts don’t even include more than one or two counter units and if she isn’t taking turn one you have to take the risk of getting countered until she goes (the problem with having 115 base speed) Also, she still gets countered by meru and doesn’t stop Edward or rimuru from doing their thing. She seems like a unit that was designed a year and a half ago that they just released now. Such cool animations, it’s just sad that she won’t Rly do much to change the meta.

As a slow bruiser player, I honestly prefer faster matches. Few things are more boring than two tanky teams smacking each other until Frenzy 5+.

cleave meta = need a lot of speed gear = way more farming required statistically = more money for sg bruiser meta = less emphasis on gear (high gs bruiser pieces are way easier to get than 22+ spd), more emphasis on units = less farming required to stay competitive = less money for sg Ever wonder why e7 is so generous with free 5 star tickets and covs? Because gacha banners don't generate shit for sg. They probably earn more money from one hunt buff event than from a collab. A single 28 speed piece is worth more on e***npc than every unit in the game combined.

I completely agree that fast games are better, what i am saying is that sg is constantly dishing out a lot of ways to shutdown bruiser plays like the straze buff or hwayoung's existence and now this despite bruiser being an unpopular option anyways. It's hard enough already for a bruiser player to still consider having a speed option because you can't really just draft a slow team nowadays and pray you survive the enemy's turn. But i am no rta expert cause i am just approaching challenger so do correct me. I play standard or bruiser

Because the game's become so bad without nerfs to correct any of countless mistakes on SG's part, people don't actually want to play it anymore. Slow players force people to play epic 7 and that's unforgivable. Making someone play epic 7 is an atrociously cruel act.

@@meltryllis3983 frenzy 9 meta is more toxic than frenzy 1 meta. Ideal meta is probably like frenzy 3-4 but it's hard to get there. Especially without nerfs to allow sg to finely tune the game's balance

I mean, regarding debuffs being cleansed...they won't be, can't cleanse debuffs if you're dead. Alena is just gonna be in cleave, she has a cr push for the team and she shuts down counters so your cleave no longer needs to fear Rem/Violet/Armin/etc.

Sort of yeah, but she's awkward. She's fast but not fast enough to be a reliable primary initiator. Then for her cr push, you need someone to go second for her to proc her push. If she does a lot of damage its something, but otherwise you're taking up a slot just to stop the counters, and a lot of cleaves struggle to kill through tanky teams even with 4. But yeah curious to see if it'll work.

What if mlelena’s anti counter worked like choux’s elbris. It disables all counterattacks whilst a3 is on cd. That way, youre incentivized to use her s3 and the s2 passive condition can change to ‘if an enemy is restricted’. That could synergize well with peira or cerise openers.

Alena reminds me of Sylvian. Interesting concept but meh execution. Nothing interesting. Bunch of the units that are currently meta and counter have special exceptions (Rimuru and Mercedes for example) so the pool of heroes with actual raw counter is not as high. Her S2 is like ML Flan. Bland. Her S1 is pure garbo just like Sylvian. Thats two botched waifus in a row. How the hell did MLPavel get to be so strong while these two feel just incomplete (like pre buff Landy). They need a little something, something added to those skills for real.

For the good doctor's downside to Lua being 15% by the wrong hero. Dont worry about it, that's just normal for ANY HERO who can debuff. Which really doesn't seem like a downside in terms of advantage. Summon for Waifu if you wish but note the tensura collab is around the corner.(maybe)
