People don’t understand the beauty of this episode. It’s so raw and real. Drug addiction isn’t a glitz and glamor pop euphoric soundtrack. It may be that when you’re hight but eventually you come back to fucking reality and that’s what this episode is.

Exactly. So true. I’ve been Rue since I was 13. I’m 27 now. I’ve had an Ali in my life that still encourages me to this day despite all of the ups and downs he’s seen me go through. Addiction is real and rough and painful. Sometimes compassion like this is what we need most to help us through.

I know this helped a lot of people. Me included. I have watched this ep like 10-15 times. Everything they both say hit me hard and really got me thinking about my own mental health. Her anxiety and depression breaks my heart. I have suffered with this shit for over 20 years and I feel everything she says. There is something fundamentally wrong with this country when young kids not even out of high school yet feel like they are useless and their life is meaningless. Mine started when I was 14 and 20 years later I am finally starting to open up about it with friends and family. This show and Bojack Horseman really gave me that wake up moment.
