Ones that I used all the time in Vanilla and onwards were mostly keybinds I never used Q and E to strafe, I would just use A and D and the mouse button Q = Bear form E = Cat form Shift + E = Travel form Shift + Q = Water form Shift + W = Auto run Shift + S = Flight form (once it got in game) Shift + 2 (Switch to second cast bar) then slot #2 would have my mount. Now it's just ingrained into me Shift + 2 then 2 = Mount Also, I would make all my most important abilities in slots 1-3 so I could easily have access to them Then, I have the Razer (Logitech too) 12 button mouse. The next most important abilities go in slots 4, 7 and 10 because those are the bottom buttons and the easiest to find

I use key binds very similar to this as I don't use macro's, downside is you need to be very familiar with your key bind's.

Hey Ebn, curious how you heal yourself and others. For example, if you are targeting a friendly and need to heal yourself do you use a modifier key for self heal or target yourself first? Do you use the mouseover macros to heal others or do you have keyboards to target party members? Thanks!

Thanks for the nice and informative video! If I may suggest, it would probably be good if you said right at the beginning too that you would only be talking for half the video. Some people might look at the time, be deterred by the 22 minutes and look for another video they would gauge as more concise.

Does dismounting give you a GCD ? Otherwise you could make a little sequence to dismount, go into Bear Form and use Feral Charge / Bash

sup man weap swap macros are awesome but i had to delete them all to use the crowd pummeler in raids because form swapping a weap would trigger a 30 sec cooldown for the use ability of the pummeler and i think a pummeler swap would just be throwing back in the same dead pumeler wit no charges after they was used is there a macro toggle that could temp deactivate all form swaps of weaps for when i want to use a pummeler then toggle weap swaps on for when i want to use regular weaps

Do these /cancelform /cast spell (e.g., moonfire) require you to press the button twice? Or does it instantly get you out of form and starts casting the ability?

Instant, /cancelform is off the global cooldown. It queues them in the respective order but effectively does them at the same time. These kinda of macros only work if you're using 1 global cooldown max :)

Omg. I m so undecided between druid and priest. I will do both pve and pvp and can't decide between priest holy (for pve) and shadow (for pvp) and tanking and pvp (both feral). I am a casual player. which one would u suggest me? I like to both heal and tanking... don t know that to choose :(

of course you could do both but if you will be playing casual ... but I'm the same!! also thinking priest/druid. I listened to a podcast by Tipsoutbaby that was uploaded on feral druid, a specc with both tank and healing ability. This made me think hard in what I want. Druids are lovely levelers too. And I enjoy being the Jack of trades. Exploiting the weaknesses of every particular situation. Maybe someone else can point out some other decisive points.

apparently shifting into a form puts you on GCD but shifting out doesnt, so wouldnt a macro to say shift out, weapon swap and heal put an extra GCD on you? one that might be needed since you are shifting out to heal..

I'd like to add #showtooltip Hurricane /cast [@cursor] Hurricane which will cast hurricane at your current cursor position, which does save time. This macro is also working with grenades so another plus for pvp and pve.

Hello! Very useful! What about SPAMMING "Shapeshifting macros ". If you spam 1 button from any form... For example: you are un the CAT form. U spam 1 button. Cat gous to Normal form, after to bear form and after - CHARGE! Is it possible?

Why wouldn't you switch between cat form/normal form for the trash pulls?

I would for added dps in some dungeons. We have to be very careful in ZF since the mobs are such high level, that by the time I switch to cat (470 mana) and pool some energy to attack I would need to pop out and heal, so I would oom really fast. But its a good strat on dungeons that you are the same level as.

Excellent video. Would I be right in thinking to come out of any form and equip caster weapon it would be /cancelform /equip WEAPON NAME ? The shapeshifting macros with equipping a relevant weapon look very useful so this one i think would help me rather than assigning a few for different spells.

I used to have macros for druid in private, that I could go, and get out of bear form with one button. and the same for cat form, and they could work across, lets say for example pressing X to go in bear form and pressing V to get out of bear form, and pressing again, I would go to cat form (V for cat form, and I could do this the other way around also) Hope I make any sense... I couldn't copy my old macros from private server since they don't work

apparently swapping into a form triggers GCD anyway, though swapping out doesnt. interestingly i guess the macro to swap out and heal after weapon swap would put you on an extra GCD and you might need that GCD too, depending on how urgent you're needing to change out to heal, especially if you're trying to hardcast while enemy is on you cc'd etc.

On a private server you can try something like this: /run for i=1, GetNumShapeshiftForms() do _, name, active = GetShapeshiftFormInfo(i) if( active ~= nil ) then CastShapeshiftForm(i) break end end Or you can use SuperMacro as HipoxiK above has stated. Macros pre-2.0 release were a pain to write but were ridiculously powerful compared to the Macros we know today.

This macro will work in any form, will work from one form to the next (bear to cat, etc). The main function of cast sequence at the end is so if you set it as a healing spell , it will heal a mouse over target while in any form if no mouse over target it will cast on self. there may be a way to add to the commands so if you set it as a damage spell for example roots you could root someone that isn't your target but then you cap out in writing space. you need to watch where your cursor is if you dont have an add on like grid.. EXTREMELY useful!!! cant fit show tool-tip 255/255 /cancelform [noform:1] !cat form /cancelform [noform:2] !bear form /cancelform [noform:3] !aquatic form /cancelform [noform:4] !travel form /cast [target=mouseover,help,exists] [help] [target=targettarget, help, exists] [target=player] Rejuvenation
