Could not agree more! I was 13 years old in 1993 and these albums have stayed with me my whole life, the other band that stood out for me was Fear Factory too. Soul of a new machine from '92 I think it was, but I only heard it in 93. Great memories from all these bands. Still listening to all these albums today 😁

Manipulation Of Tragedy is an absolut fucking banger, and if you are into drums, man are you in for a fucking treat, he does npt hold back on that one! The Bliss of Ignorance is also a banger, a slower heavier one!

Tried again for each album, and after a few years or so,...just gave up on the new sepultura altogether. Classic is always best. Cavalera bros. Are winding up their beneath arise tour right now. Went to their Portland, Or stop, and holy...hell. they pulled off the classics so damn well. It may have been the best show I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot.

Iggor was one of my main influences back in the early 90's - he's easily up there with the best of them. To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised a drum teacher only discovered him in 2020, but good to see you're broadening your horizons dude.

Funny you mention Eloy.......Max(guitar, vox) and Igor(drums) are brothers and started the band Sepultura. Eloy plays for Sepultura currently. Internal issues split the pair, eventually their hatchet being buried amounted to Cavalera Conspiracy being formed.

The original Sepultura drummer. The singer his brother, yes. From 1980's to 1996.... about 7 records an EP.... from death metal to extreme aggressive... Arise being a stamp in metal history

Nice review and thanks for watching this concert video (even if the style is different from your taste) Sepultura was my favourite band at my childhood, and wow, it was almost 30 years now. I am happy Iggor is still in such a good shape, I think I would get a heart attack after such workout :-) Iggor is a legendary drummer in my eyes, and though since then I listened to several great metal albums, very few drummer was up to his flexible and powerful drumming. (Battlecross (Push Pull Destroy) and some Amon Amarth songs (eg. Destroyer of Universe) and Arch Enemy songs comes into my mind)

Great video, love to see Igor play! It's cool Igor (born 1970) reminds you of Eloy (born 1991). Igor was the original drummer of Sepultura and played on 11 albums, he must have been a major influence on Eloy. Also Bulls on Parade by RATM came out in 1996, Territory came out in 1993. I have no doubt that the guys from RATM knew this song.

I don't remember so many bands doing Black metal in 1986 as it influenced both Tampa death metal And Second Wave Norway BM ... So mimic others bands , not really .. I mean Troop of dooms , Mayhem , Empire of damned ... And the seminal drumming is interesting with unique fills ..it was also already tribal . My favorite is Schizophrenia , its improving monster but still dark and evil sounding .. I don't think it sounds like another band . Scott burns prod get lost something in moods . Its too cleaning up. Even the songs are good . But i prefer the drum sound before . Maybe because i grew up with 70's HM bands and Early Edgy Fusion bands like Mahavishnu .. I don't know .

Ok my friend. You need to know a little bit more about those musics you pick to react. Igor and Max started Sepultura in 1984, they are from acctually my home town in Brazil "Belo Horizonte". Layer Max left the band and some 10 years later Igor left the band. Eloy is the current drummer from the actual formation of Sepultura.

He was considered top of the best of his time and killed himself because he felt that after that he could not fulfill his Death Metal needs. Please consider.
