Josh is one of my very favorite drummers of all time. This was a great choice! I've loved him since I heard him drum for The Vandals. He's super versatile. From APC to NIN to countless other bands...he's amazing!

Freese was Probly chosen based on the fact he's well known. He is a chameleon as far as drumming goes and he also has a lot of expertise touring and studio etc. they wouldn't want someone without all these qualities at a band this level. Plus he's been friends with them forever. Makes sense to me

First time I heard the name Josh Freese is when someone told me he played drums on Chris Daughtry's debut album. I thought, "Oh, he's pretty good," not connecting the dots that he was the same Josh Freese that played with A Perfect Circle and then said to myself, "He probably laid those Daughtry tracks down in about an hour." The guy is an amazing talent and he brings with him the double bass, that just adds an element to the FF that they didn't have before. Taking nothing away from the late, great Taylor Hawkins, I don't think the guys could have found a better guy to take the role than Freese.

You don’t realize it, but you’ve heard his playing well before Daughtry. His drumming has been on countless albums. He is the drum fixer. When a bands drummer can’t perform in the studio, they call Josh.
