That’s how low our standards are 😂 They don’t die, they stay together: top notch movie right there. Out of topic question, are there any “lesbian movies” where the main characters (like, the ones coupled up) are played by actresses that are actually gay? Cause i wanna watch a movie tonight and i was wondering if anything like that existed... i reckon it could be interesting to see if there is a substantial difference in the performance/mood or smth
@elsiebath84142 жыл бұрын
@@sarads7877 This is a REALLY late reply so idk if you'll see this but 'But I'm a Cheerleader' is a cult classic and Clea DuVall and RuPaul are both in it. It's a fun campy spoof made by queer people for queer people. D.E.B.S is another really fun spoof written by a queer woman. Jordana Brewster will forever be a crush of mine thanks to this movie. Happiest Season is directed by Clea DuVall and stars Kristen Stewart. The movie is good - not amazing - but if Kristen Stewart is in it I'm watching it. On Netflix UK (idk about other places) there's this movie called 'So My Grandma's a Lesbian!' and it's a Spanish film I think but you can get English overdubs. I personally used French overdubs and subtitles because I half speak French (secondary school level of ability) and the confusion made it even funnier. The film is okay idk if it was made by queer people but it gave me a good laugh. Q Force is a really funny show on Netflix that absolutely slaps love it. Definitely were some queer people involved in the making but idk specifics. You can just tell. All of these have happy endings and are lighthearted throughout. Some are hard to find though, I watched D.E.B.S by renting it on KZbin.

Marta Luxor actually the director put a lot of thought in giving the lead actresses privacy and a respectful distance during any love scenes, he was hyper aware of the fact that he is a man directing a film about lesbians and made every effort to avoid all the mistakes done in other male directed lesbian movies (i.e. Blue is the Warmest Color). The Handmaiden is a beautiful, fun and dark and gay movie that is really really done well and is not told thru a male or pornographic lense, not in the slightest.
