Same-I’ve been here from 4 years old in 1977,not anymore.I gave up after the dull Ashoka series-the promotional pieces for the Acolyte seemed like a sick joke,I could see where it was going,so Disney+ cancelled.The disastrous,offensively bad sequel trilogy watched once.The weirdos in the new,tiny audience and fanbase that Disney wanted so badly can have it-Star Wars is completely FUBAR….the mass fanbase and audience has gone,and they’ve taken their money and support with them-just look at the audience feedback,and the millions(billions?)in lost revenue in merchandise.

That is so true, Jay: As someone who's knee deep in reading the last parts of Phase Two and the middle parts of Phase Three of The High Republic, trust me...virtually NONE of the many (mostly quality) stories taking place in 232 to 229 BBY have anything significant to do with the "storytelling" for, The Acolyte. There is a dozen of original characters from the books, comics, audio dramas, and video game (JEDI: Survivor), who are infinitely more significant, interesting, engaging, and relevant than any character dramatized in Leslye Headland's near-psychotic, Woke fever dream of a monstrosity. Honestly, seeing the tagline: "100 Years Before The Acolyte" on a few of my books and comics, DOES NOT make me enthused...since the events of that series barely have any connection to the epic, galaxy-affecting story that's currently being told in print and video game media, or even to that 400-plus-years-long epoch in The SWU known as, The High Republic Era. The Acolyte literally takes place during the last days or weeks of that time period in the galaxy's history. BTW: This is my first time seeing those alternate comic covers...without question, the official cover art for the upcoming comic series, Fear Of The Jedi (free of any out-of-the-way allusions to Amandla Stenberg's character) is the one to feast one's eyes on. That's a great depiction of what the best, non-Woke parts of The High Republic Multimedia Initiative are. I don't even consider the events of Headland's series to be part of actual SW canon. I've had no problem forgetting its existence. Thank God for Skeleton Crew...as I predicted, that (so far) excellent Disney + series is the POLAR OPPOSITE of that horror-fest from Summer 2024. You can definitely tell the difference, when capable, accomplished, rational, enthusiastic, actual SW Fans create a work of art. Unfortunately, the after-effects of, The Acolyte have pushed too many SW Fans away from the IP, in general...so, the show has an uphill climb to commercial success out of the gate. I went to a toy shop just down the street from me, I had set up some of the loose figures that he had there some of the vintage ones from 79 to 83. And by the way just because you and our 5d4 or a Han Solo that doesn't mean it was only made in 1979 because they made them all the way through up into Power the force figures so that wasn't all made in 1979 or as they try to claim on eBay saying 1977 which is little Chris because there was no Star Wars figures in 1977. But back to my story. I went in there I noticed he had some of the Acolyte figures the retro ones I'm talking about. I wasn't thinking about buying them to use them as what they're supposed to be I was looking at them thinking I can change those into something that would fit into my dioramas. But they will not be as themselves if possible I'll find out if I can get the heads changed to something else because most of those head Scopes are horrible I would rather give it a heads of different aliens than to have it with the original heads on them. Especially the male and female Jedis and Palawan. The witch lesbian can become a Cantina tw8t. But not one of them, to me are characters I would say were captivating. Had it been a 6-pack of further Phantom Menace or 12 to 24 of the following 2 movies after 1999 I would have loved putting those together. Acolyte was horribly written, choreographed, edited, every aspect of it was as Headland said, just lie and fake it. That goofy looking Soy Boy Jedi with the goofy Amish beard hovering in the air was way beyond laughable. It will be the same kind of movie people will watch alongside such equals as Troll 2 and Space Mutiny. The latter being masterpieces. The former being unintentional humor from people who don't understand communication or plot or anything in filmmaking. I guess it fits in with Kathleen Kennedy. Imagine if Karen Traviss had been the head of DIZNEE Lucasfilm instead of the Slug KK.

After reading Drew Karphysyns Darth Bane Trilogy, once again, and delving into the Expanded Universe I decided to watch acolyte for comparisons. Holy shit, visually these people have the potential and this could have been a better show had not it been for the insertions of bad writing, and having the viewer feel sympathy for the villains and a negative view on the jedi. Feel bad for criminals who have either raped or killed a loved one. Feel disdain for police officers. That's the message of the show. They lost me at that point. There is not way a jedi would feel bad for eliminating a threat that was harming another jedi companion on a mission. Sol, was blamed as a bad cop, and vernestra threw that guy under the bus, condemning his actions. Lmao. That's bad writing. And that baffled me. HORRIBLE. I know where they were going with this in season two. Happy it was cancelled. This was also lore breaking. I would have stuck with the lore, and been consistent, as well as have jedi be jedi, follow their code. and have Sith be sith. This breaks the rule of two. But we all know this had plaguies instructing his "pupil" to use the twins. He'd have had then killed for his experiments to create anakin. What a shit show.
