Exercise…At 64 years, I’m using a mini trampoline (rebounder) an hour every day for low impact aerobic dance, and Wow 😱 how my body has toned right up. It’s fun and not painful. Exercise is important and does things to return a body to its younger state, promoting better blood flow and hormones that were going dormant, etc. You have to Chase your youth and beauty. The legs are the largest bones in the body, they make red blood cells etc. We have to activate that process when we are aging IMO. Find something you like that’s fun and do it every day . Between that, and following Doc’s suggestions, things are better.

So curious how do you dance on a mini-trampoline for an hour?
@stlounsbury24 күн бұрын
@ I have a selection of choreographed dance routines that I watch on my big Smart TV, by Earth and Owl, so I select 2 that are 35 minutes and one that is 17 minutes. Also a couple Free Style songs at the end just for fun. So it’s actually 92 minutes. It took me several months to build up that endurance. Some days I do less time but I aim for an average of 60 minutes.

Thanks for another lovely video. I’m also a forever moka pot user . Love to brew my organic medium- dark roast coffee each morning and have it with a slice of rye sourdough with some extra virgin olive oil . However I do add a couple teaspoons of whole milk that I get from a farm with happy grass fed cows 😊

What about what I read about Bones being used to absorb Lead for toxic spills, and having a lot of Lead-even Organic ones. I love Dr. Li but I've been passing on the Bone Broth; Research studies have detected lead in various types of bone broth, including organic chicken broth, beef broth, and gelatin. For example, one study found that a single cup of bone broth could contain as much lead as 10 cups of drinking water.

Dr. Li, I am borderline hypertensive and my husband has occasional heart arythmias, so we have been advised to drink DECAF coffee and tea. We wonder how these decaffeinating processes affect the benefits associated with both coffee and teas. Wondering if we should skip the decaf stuff and just drink naturally low caffeine white teas exclusively? We do drink herbals like chamomile too.
@PatraK-du8ve27 күн бұрын
Caffeine has the propensity to raise blood pressure. However, some people are more sensitive to caffeine than others so maybe check your blood pressure 30 minutes after drinking one cup of regular coffee to see how much it goes up, but don't forget to measure before you drink the coffee. It shouldn't go up more than 5 points, e.g., if was 125 before coffee then 130 after coffee it's fine, it will go back down but if it's higher and your not highly active then go back to decaf. As for arrythmia it truly depends, it's on an individual basis. Some people do just fine while others may get heart palpitations. However, if your husband's doctor advised him to stay off caffeine, I would take their advice. My doctor advised me to stop all caffeine and it has made a world of difference in my heart health journey with better health overall. Hope this helps.
@stlounsbury26 күн бұрын
In an earlier video, Doc says that decaf is fine, and still contains the chlorogenic acid necessary for the health benefits; it’s not the caffeine you’re looking for, it’s the chlorogenic acid.
@kathleenkaar655726 күн бұрын
@ right, I was wondering if the decaf process impacted tge chlorogenic acid, so good to know that the answer is NO. Thank you 👍

Are you saying my digestive system cannot process fat? I drink multiple cups of coffee per day. The first one I have with turmeric, cacao powder, and ground pepper with butter and heavy whipping cream for maximum turmeric solubility. I then have follow-up cups of coffee with just stevia and nothing else.

Dr. Li tends to repeat the information over and over again in different videos. So you may get the same information that he went over in different episodes of his. Not surprising! One surprise for me, however, is when I listen to any episode of his, I do find the repeated information helpful in a certain way. Most of the stuffs he says we certainly feel familiar or know well. However, whether the info or understanding turns into some long-lasting habit or incorporate it into part of our routine is a different story. Mostly not. So having someone repeat important or meaningful info is by itself important. He has a simple way to explain complex scientific information. therefore, many times his explanation turns lengthy. It does help, however, convince us to make that understanding into our motivation that turns into good habits. In this episode, Dr. Li discusses on the benefits and reasons why green tea especially matcha, (non-dairy) coffee, (cold) water and tomato (juice) help increase your metabolism, stimulate brown (good) fat to burn white (bad) fat and reduce your belly size. Good information to know again.
