I eat organic purple, orange and white carrots. I slice them into thin strips and air fry them with olive oil, salt and sugar free pancake syrup. Tastes like sweet fries, very yummy! I air fry mushrooms too with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder & onion powder.

I ACCIDENTALLY had your channel pop up on my phone…for the first time yesterday I listened to your upload…and because I listen to 3 other “popular clean food” channels I listened… Your information besides being simple but to the point AND logical…..I thoroughly ENJOYED what you had to say and hence I am NOW a subscriber! I DO NOT take ANY prescriptions since 2010…no vaccines (my choice) my health is dependent on CLEAN FOOD … as much as humanly possible… I just want to tell you I think you’re awesome! I have siblings who think I’m wacko because I don’t go to mainstream drs again my choice…I am looking forward to listening to all the videos you have! Happy in Arizona! Thank you!!!!

Here in Brazil, where beans are a staple food, what families usually do is cook beans in a pressure cooker and leave it unseasoned in the refrigerator. Then, when it's close to lunch or dinner time, the person cooking will sauté some onion, garlic and whatever else you might want to put in your beans, cook it for a few minutes, adjust seasoning, and you'll have fresh tasting beans (Brazilian style) in just a few minutes. Since Brazilians eat beans every day, it won't be sitting for too long in the refrigerator.

IN THE SPANISH CARIBBEAN ISLANDS -CUBA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC & PUERTO RICO WE COOK THEM SIMILAR. THE OLD FASHION WAY WITHOUT THE PRESSURE COOKER IS TO SOAK THEM OVERNIGHT IN WATER & SALT, NEXT DAY THROWS THE WATER AWAY AND START COOKING THEM. IN THE MEANTIME MAKE THE SOFRITO- SAUTE GARLIC, ONIONS, SMALL PEPPERS, ALONG WITH CILANTRO, CORIANDER & ORÉGANO AND ADD IT TO THE BEANS WHILE THEY COOK AT MEDIUM HEAT. MANY TIMES ALONG WITH PIECES OF PUMPKIN WHICH GIVE BEANS A SPECIAL FLAVOR. AND VOILÁ, BON APETITE!😋 🌺☮️💟🌺 PS. SOME CARNIVORES LIKE TO ADD PORK MEAT😡

Resistant starch. I think reheating cold potato is also good. Once the starch becomes resistant starch, it does not change back because insoluble fiber is created.

The first four sound like an easy quick meal: veggie saute with carrots and mushrooms, onions for better flavor, and whatever else is tasty and on hand (celery, bell peppers, tomatoes are a few promising options) served with drained canned beans (thrown in the pan to warm or served cold/room temperature in summer) seasoned with garlic, herbs, and cayenne powder or chili flakes. I could happily eat that several times a week and unlike many "health/diet" meal suggestions it's both affordable and filling.

Just discovered Dr William Li and am very tickled with my discovery. Last August after my doctor said I’d not have to worry about retirement if I didn’t lose weight, and change my diet, I took action. She wanted to put me on a statin med as I was basically an animated stick of butter with hair on top. Lipid panel was out of range BMI confirmed what I looked like: A fluffy little senior lady. So I changed lifestyle and diet to nearly vegan, sugar free and very low fat. I love continuing education of healthy eating and life choices. I happen to really enjoy the foods mentioned in this post. Ok, not the fermented stuff. My health has really improved and I’d love to have a new career in my retirement years s a health educator…Blue Zone style.

The pain & sever bloating lasts a few hours & sometime for up to 6 hours. Do have any insight on why this would happen with these particular foods ?

I’ll share that I read the book Eat to Beat Disease & Eat to Beat Your Diet by Dr William Li. It doesn’t explicitly say to only eat whole food in the book, but that’s what I chose to do. I went from about 215 lbs to 180 lbs in 6 months. So nothing insanely wild, but I’ve had so much more energy & have had lower cortisol levels since doing that. I just started focusing on what I would eat that came from lists of the foods that help the 5 different health defenses in the body. Thank you Dr Li. Genuinely appreciative for the info. Once I got past the first little bit of my brain (and microbiome) asking for sugary foods it became super easy. Definitely wasn’t easy to get past that portion but keeping full on whole food helped for anyone who wants to try it.

@@alysononoahu8702you’re not supposed to give dogs actual cobs. They are known to eat them & that thing will not break down in the stomach. Can cause a blockage in the digestive tract =emergency surgery. Unless maybe they’re teeny tiny dogs & physically can’t eat the cob. My dog stole a cob out of the garbage & I had to feed her a bunch of fiber & monitor her poop for 3 or 4 days to make sure she didn’t get plugged up & see if she pooped the cob pieces out. Was NOT a good time. Lol.

Love Dr. Li, please watch the whole video, but here are the five for ya, please add to your diet regularly 1. CARROTS - roast them, shred them and squeeze fresh lemon or lime juice on them for a sweet and sour salad treat, or throw them in a stew, put in a veggie stir fry 2. BEANS - in a soup, make some hummus or bean dip, high in fiber and protein, navy beans or white beans best 3. CHILLI PEPPERS - hot sauce, sautéed in stir fry, throw in a soup, sprinkled on a pizza pie 4. MUSHROOMS - eat the whole thing, sauté, add to steak, into a soup, slice and put on a pizza pie, add to stir fry so good, high in vitamin D 5. PU-ERH TEA - fermented black tea from China, drink it yo THANK YOU!!

Not sure how carbs "burn" fat, unless they're mostly fiber (which I doubt.) The mushrooms, though, I might try slicing them and putting them in the sun before I put them on my (wait for it) keto pizza.

@Dr William Li, what do you think about ZEVIA ZERO CALORIE SODA and CELSIUS ENERGY DRINKS? My friend who is trying to lose weight consumes these drinks daily but I am not sure if they are good for your health even though they are zero calorie drinks? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. God bless 🙏

Not as good, but good. Drain them first. I add mushrooms as often as possible, soups, salads. Fresh goes very well on a sandwich.

My Irish grandad drank 8 pints of Guinness during the day before milking the cows by hand and drinking a couple of pints of that raw milk , ate liver and onions for breakfast , salted Bacon and cabbage every day , for tea usually cold slices of cow tongue on soda bread Tea and bread that Granny Kathleen made herself and half a bottle of whiskey before bed , smoked like a trooper, woodbine cigarettes he had 9 children with Granny Kathleen and lived to be 101 , i , find this truly amazing , Granny Kathleen said that he was still "rising"😂 in the bed ,as she used to call it right up to a few months before he passed away , rip grandad Tom

must they be organic... I don't eat carrots (partly as don't like the taste) but mainly cos I read that unless they're organic, they highly absorb all the chemicals and pesticides since they are in the ground....and organic ones are not so easy to find and obviously more expensive... thanks
