"Get a filter or become the filter." Ooof. I felt that. I have always loved drinking water, and when I started to travel around the US, I found out that some states do not have water that tastes very good. Some tasted vaguely soapy to me. I suspect there may be a psychological issue with water not tasting great where a person is. Likewise, with sugar in so many things, we're all developing a "sweet tooth" when it comes to how liquids taste. Water filters aren't cheap but worth the money given how much you should drink a day to be hydrated. Dr. Li's approach to nutrition has always struck me as a positive one, so I'm happy to see him promoting his new book.

I don't drink. I might have one or two drinks a year. But my dad drank every day of his life since his 20s, and he is 94 now and in equal or better condition than most people his age. I don't think he drinks any more in his 90s. He has been careful in his eating, maintains a thin weight, and rarely eats sweets or processed foods - he has great willpower and was obviously born before the age of all this garbage food and does not eat it. Any study about alcohol that purposts to apply to all people seems to be disproved by my dad. Like the Dr. says though and I agree, alcohol is not good for you, but if you are otherwise healthy with good habits it has no effect. And I am talking about a guy who might have a beer during the day, wine at dinner, and a cocktail in the evening. If I thought alcohol was good for health, I'd drink, but I don't think that and I don't drink alchohol - just because I don't like it. What I really detest is how the media has become a garbage truck full of BS videos that all say different things, and I have to think this is a strategy of those companies that sell poison to people and want to hide it in all the noise they generate.

I love the information about Matcha tea and Pu-erh tea, what it is, what it does, instead of just saying drink this. One thing I'd like to know is what about instant and decaf versions of tea and coffee? And when you talk about micro-plastics in water do you mean from the bottle it comes in? Would distilled water in a plastic bottle also contain them? Why does contact with plastic go into the water? What about plastic cups, Tupperware type containers and Ziplock / plastic wrap?

Microplastics are particles from plastic that has broken down and entered the water BEFORE being bottled. It's a natural consequence of our extreme reliance on plastic. It's hard to find Pomegranate juice that isn't highly sweetened with sugar...and green tea...how do you know if it's really true green tea? Everyone sells it, and I know they aren't all authentic. Any suggestions?

Dearest Dr Li God bless you for sharing this gift if knowledge you have to help millions of people. I bought your books , follow your utubs & joined your emails, thank you at last a decent doctor that didn't care to just make money.& follow the trend. In one of your utubs you suggested figs , I just wanted to ask would dried figs be as good if we can't buy fresh . Thank you & God bless your life.

I read on the regeneration center site that goji berries, pomegranate, blueberries, and raspberries all help improve superoxide dismutase and boost stem cells. It it ok to take these in powder vitamin form or do they have to come from fresh berries??

I am guessing that you can’t avoid micro plastics even with a filter. The housing will be plastic, the materials inside might be made out f some kinds of plastic. I don’t think there is any real and effective way to decrease our consumption of microplastics. They are simply everywhere. It’s like trying to avoid carbon dioxide molecules.
