No cannatrol for me but a thermoelectric wine cooler with fans on the inside gives me a 14+ day dry with perfect humidity. No loss of terps whatsoever. Got one cheap on offer up for under $100

60/60 is important...but if your tent is constantly exhausting out too, it will speed up the dry, as well. I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get a 14-day dry time it, and "for me," it was the exhausting running too much too often

So I was robbed recently which forced a harvest date early (luckily only 5/12 plants were snatched) and I had two medium-large sized branches the dude left behind. Dried them in one week and smelled like hay. I think my fan was going too much as well. Was using the fan to dehumidify and a humidifier to humidify but the 8” ac infinity online on a 4x8 tent on speed one for always on and up to speed 3 to dehumidify… think my fans were too much or do you think I just didn’t have enough plant material? Was trying to salvage what was left behind but definitely want to figure out what went wrong before I harvest my girls in 6-8 weeks

First time grower(outside) and I am going to have too much...haha(I blame you guys and a couple of other channels). I am up in the San Luis Valley south of Alamosa. Dry and windy here. After a storm I hade to trim about 2 feet off one of my plants. Trichomes were about 60% cloudy so don't expect much. Got 4 oz of bud that I am going to use about 75% for hash. There is still 85% of the plant that is still going. The seed was in a jar of random seeds I have had for awhile. It is a sativa strain I think, skinny leaves, tall with a lot of buds. I used a drying rack in a 3 X 3 grow tent to dry. I trimmed the bigger leaves off and cut down the colas so they would fit. Filled 4 trays and took 11 days. I am using protein drink containers for the buds. I can put 1 1/2 oz with room for breathing. I figure they must be food grade safe. I think for the rest I am going to do what Scottie said, leave the leaves on the branches. Plus not using the drying rack. I think I can get it into the tent with enough room. I never topped it but it grew 4 main stalks from the ground. It is almost like 4 plants. Is it ok to kind of force it in a little as long as there is good air flow? In time it will fit better. And if I keep it a little on the dry side....53-57% at first I dont think I would have a mold problem? Thoughts anyone?

Tried and true method I use and has never failed me. 7/7/7 drying method. 7 (absolute minimum) days at 70% humidity and 70 degrees. 10 or more days is preferred but the weed itself will let you know when dry enough. Indirect air movement but no direct air at the drying gals. Giant buds need to be broken down into smaller pieces to avoid rot. When dry, it goes into mason jars with a hygrometer. If above 65% humidity, out of jars and into a brown paper bag for a 1/2 day or day then back into jars until humidity in the sealed jar is at 65% or just below. Curing stops at 55% humidity and below. The sweet spot is 60-65% slowly dropping the first month. I do not use any humidity packs until after at least a month has passed. Some feel as I do that it can change the taste somewhat. I've never used grove bags but I might try them out soon. Edit: forgot that when in the jars burping daily is a must. I usually burp twice a day the first week or so. Then once a day for at least a month. I've read that all the Cannabis Cup winners and most of the entrants have at least a 6 month cure.

I only use a bovida pack when I open a jar for the week to keep it 62% while I open the jar all day everyday for a week❤

What settings should be on my ac infinity tent to dry? Want to make sure I don’t have hay, I tried 67 degrees 62% humidity but I got hay, granted it was only a couple of branches rather than full plants like I intended. Humidifier was going but I think the inline fan maybe dried it too fast, any suggestions let me know

I usually like to start out at a higher humidity so that the moisture doesn't evaporate too fast over the first three to four days. During this time I slowly drop the humidity to my desired level for the rest of the drying stage. My thinking is that there is such a fast and huge loss of moisture in those first few days, that by slowing the evaporation might help?.?

Has anyone used the Grove Bags to cure their cannabis ? If so , how did they work ?
@blad66393 ай бұрын
I use them, they work well and I don't need to burp. I use a wood moisture meter to measure the bud humidity, once it's between 10 to 12 percent it goes into the bag, and that's it.

I use grove bags to store, I also use the cannatrol, 3 rd harvest, the grove bags stay in the cannatrol until I need to dry a new harvest ,then I temporarily remove them. Easy, always fresh and perfect. Really. No smell after the dry/cure as it’s all bagged up. I used a label maker and labeled the front lip of the racks with my current product. Badda-boom. Lovin it

@spazzymacgee56483 ай бұрын
@MarkTattersall-t1b no it's a good quality humidity monitor, plus i put 3 in the bag, and the buds where hung for 15 days dry. I don't trust them. It's just a big zip lock bag with some logos on it, how can it regulate the humidity 🤔 scam I reckon. It's a pattern I see from a lot of these yt growers who just push crap to sell, so they get sponsorship.
@spazzymacgee56483 ай бұрын
@@MarkTattersall-t1b no, everything is spot on, the trmp is 18c. the Grove bags don't keep the humidity between 58 and 62. It's a scam.
