The way it was explained to me, the whole "fast flowering" feature doesn't work for indoor growing. It's meant to initiate flower sooner than usual outdoors regardless of the day-night light cycle

I need some advice troops! I grow only autoflowers and try to defoliate a little at a time during the entire grow. About three weeks into veg I do a heavy defoliation and pruning and again about week three of flower I defoliate. I also do very selective defoliation when the plants go into pre-flower and need some help so I don't stunt it while going into flower. Do you recommend taking the top fan leaves off, ever. I've heard numerous times "don't cut off the top fan leaves since they get most of the light.", but they throw off so much shade. I'm talking about the usually four big leaves that grow on the top of the main cola. I LST my branches but don't bend over the whole plant stem, I like the best of both worlds big nugs on my branches and a fat cola! But it seems like, especially the cola which is shaded, the plant would benefit from more direct light and let the smaller fans do the photosynthesis. I'd appreciate any input. happy growing.

Here's all the way from Thailand boys great job I really did enjoy the show and the content really was informative and all of the replies everybody's made I really took things to heart but here in Thailand it's a little bit different I grow in pots and I chase the Sun from the front yard to the backyard changing the circling of the pots every couple hours it's a hard job but somebody's got to do it and I enjoy it but my question is what organically can we use to put in our T's or whatever to make it better for our root systems can't do the things that you guys do their Scotty I've tried using the Coco coir the first time that I'm in flowering right now that's been quite the challenge but I do appreciate the show on that guys because it really helped me out too once again Happy New Year's from across the water

Make a hill of perlite chunk in the middle then mote the media around the outside. Tap root has a good foundation, and you avoid root rot. Had extremely healthy root ball last run.

Smart pots are key! When I transplant into the three gallon (coco) I always poke a big hole all the way to the bottom of the pot, for oxygen. It seems to keep transplant stress way down, the babies don't even notice.

dont wanna sound liek the pseudo teacher but doesnt a growbag give the roots the most air? i felt like i had to water a lot because of the growbag so i think it help evaporating some to the sides etc. all that said i still overwatered tbh x) yellow leaves puished it further first buds turned soft on the plant already haha but i think i learned somethign from that. i think the plant can kill off leaves and flowers by pumping the water up into them if the roots drown to save itself. so always try to safe your grows the plants are so resilient its worth it

Love listening to the show guys! Watering is the biggest pain in the ass and one of the most time consuming parts of any grow when using pots. In the past I used fabric pots with cocoa and I would often get fatigued midway through the grow from mixing nutrients, watering and checking the pots for dryness. I have a busy schedule leaving little time to be fiddling around with petty things. This is why I switched to using a custom built recirculating DWC/Drip system with a large reservoir. Now I don't have to worry about overwatering, underwatering, or any of that. I just change the reservoir out once a week. I use a utility pump to drain the reservoir and a water dispenser above the res to efficiently refill it with purified water out of my well. I used ChatGPT to help me design my hydro setup.

Fabrics are great. I have found luck using large totes recently. Just need to make sure there’s good drainage and not let it get anaerobic. Big roots big frootz.

Better the roots better the fruits as Scotty says.😂💜🌴🪴Cheers 2025 here🍻Being in a rootbound situation can cause or show nutrients deficiency too or bring issues to the grower of anything your growing too.💜🌴🪴

I think you the guys did quite a good job on this topic, especially for the short version. In general terms I think the only thing that I would have covered as a key point is aeration in your media that you're using. My preference is volcanic pumice. With a little care of the sourcing, looking for pumice with low heavy metal content and high silica, You can have a source of aeration that will last for many Grows and also help enhance your plant structure with the silica available. They also make nice homes for microbes too. ............... Hell yeah! My shipment from Sustainable Village was just delivered with the last part of my automated watering system!................ And now back our regular programming .............. I've had four grows now with volcanic pumice from BAS. I've seen a marked improvement in overall plant health and production and most importantly a quite vibrant and healthy root system. I think you guys ought to reach out to Jeremy of BAS and see if he will come and do a show. I think he could help you guys grow the channel a little bit. I think the man is a straight shooter and it's just a plain lover of growing the special little plant we all love! You can see the passion and that young man's demeanor! Anyway, you guys are really spot on on the rain science bags! I think they're what I would recommend to a beginner to use. I think the pots make it a little bit more difficult for them to over water. But do they ever use the water!🤣🤣🤣 Alright, sorry about this long post! My Asian Haze always does this to me ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Grassroots fabric pots have a waterproof layer along the side of the pot to limit water loss, leaving the bottom to provide aeration. I used to wrap my all-fabric pots with food plastic that always rips and falls off. Best of both worlds.
@rayjay83223 күн бұрын
That's my go to pots now! Since I'm organic, it helps keep the moisture in the upper layer of your media and top dressings. I always dissect my root balls. It helps confirm conclusions I may have during the grow of how well I did on various things. I would have suspected that there would have been some route bounding on the sides with the plastic, that just wasn't the case. Naturally there was great root growth at the bottom. When my new grow room is built, the Tray2Grow system will be my mainstay of production. That system has crazy potential! Best thing about it I think is continuing runs. I know my setup will only get better for each successive grow.

I now grow in a combo of Foxfarm Happy Frog and Ocean Forest, with plenty of their big chunky perlite mixed in. I have the trio pack of their liquid nutrients but with that soil mix I found you only need very little, easy to over fertilize that and then PH can get out of control….and for watering I just do it by feel weight of containers, air pots are so great.
@sidecardude3 күн бұрын
I grow aeroponically, I start the plants in a long chamber with about 3 feet distance from the top of the nutrients. Once the roots touch the nutrients, I move the plant to a setup where I put almost all 3 feet of the roots directly into the tank, with about 6 inches inbetween the netbasket and the nutrients and that gets sprayed one minute on four minutes off. You need to keep the tank cool, and aerate the nutrients with a huge air pump so that it churns up the whole nutrient tank. I put filter bags around the pumps so the roots don't get sucked up and torn apart. This method is rock solid, and allows the plants to suck up incredible amounts of nutrients and sometimes within 3-4 days need fresh water and more nutrients. Working on documenting my method and the results.....

But why all that work tho? I can understand if you're just fckuing around but all that is just unrealistic for someone who just wants to grow weed.
@chuckbailey68353 күн бұрын
Theres nothing wrong with pruning the roots when your up potting plants if root bound. I've also pruned root balls back heavy and repoted in same pot for maintaining mothers. Depending on the genetics some plants will flower when they're rootbound to long. Just like pruning the canopy it'll take a few days to recover. If your growing auto flowers i dont believe any of this is advisable, but i never grew any autos so idk
@eliinthewolverinestate67293 күн бұрын
I just harvested an auto. I noticed how much tap root it had compared to other root types. Think I need deeper pots not shallow.

What is the deal with Recharge and water pH? Recharge raises the pH quite a bit, so is the best practice to pH your water to a point where it’ll be at 6.5 or so AFTER you add the Recharge?
@Art-zs6sl3 күн бұрын
ph just before watering
@Blanden8883 күн бұрын
@@Art-zs6sl yeah I start to adjust my ph after everything is added to your water, nutrients, recharge etc. It takes a few hours to get a good stable ph reading. Im growing one autoflower and I start adjusting my water the night before.
@unitoolzee3 күн бұрын
I don’t think you’re supposed to use pH adjusters in water that already has recharge in it. I did that when I first started using Recharge a long time ago and, based on the smell, I am pretty sure the pH adjusters killed the microbes. It would be great if the guy who created the stuff could chime in.
