Hi. I am 52 and have vitiligo and was wondering if there is a foundation that you could recommend or if you could do a KZbin for women that have vitiligo on how to apply foundation so that the skin tone is the same. I’ve been watching you and love how your makeup looks but for the last few years my vitiligo has moved to my face. Mostly my forehead and a little around my under eyes and around my mouth. I can’t seek Ron find anything to cover it or don’t know how to apply different shades so that my entire face looks the same. If there is anything you could recommend I would appreciate it. Love all your videos and I think your beautiful inside and out. 😊

Hi Dominique 😊. I’m so glad to hear that you’ve also had to back off your tretinoin . I’m soon to be 55 and have followed you for the last 7 years. You are so beautiful- inside and out. Much of my skincare, makeup and other self care, including menopause, I’ve learned about from you. I’ve been using tretinoin for about the same length of time as I’ve been subscribing to your channel. I had worked up to 0.1% strength about 7 months ago, but after a few months with no issues, it seemed like my skin started rejecting it. I had terribly dry, red, angry skin on my neck (even though I wasn’t applying it there), around my lips and mouth, and my eyebrows. I went to my dermatologist last month, used RX hydrocortisone as recommended, then started back on tretinoin every other day after 3 weeks and my skin still did not like that, so I have just backed off completely. It has been discouraging since tretinoin has been my main anti-aging product for so many years. I’m so happy to know it’s not just happening to me. I love the natural look you have. I prefer a lighter natural look and will definitely be trying the Laura Mercier eye shadow sticks. I have slightly hooded, down turned eyes and can’t seem to master powder shadow. I can get one eye perfect and the other is “off”. Thank you for so much for your inspiration.

Great video! I use Neutrogena Sesame Body Oil after showering then wrap up and let it soak in while going through my facial routine. I finish with Amlactin lotioning all over - the 12% lactic acid increases cell turnover and helps eliminate accumulated dead skin cells on the top layer of skin. Dominique I always love to see what you do. Very fun🧡As a holistic master esthetician of almost 4 decades I can tell you we all have normal skin. It is what we do to it daily and weekly and monthly that changes it. Many culprits are water, bad skin care , foundation or concealer. Also please remember rosacea , eczema and psoriasis are some of the most overt diagnosed skin care diseases. Many times it is just that we have activated the fungus always on our skin. I love ,” drying off soft”. The skin is oil loving and it’s so important for Everyone to use. I enjoyed this Dominique. 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa

I couldn’t agree more with you about everyone having Normal skin type, we were all born with normal skin and for me personally it wasn’t until I started to use all these products that my skin started to change, I would still call my skin normal because I never grew up using or putting on skincare or makeup, it just wasn’t my thing, mostly because I never had the time or money 💰 to purchase all these products, when I think of my Grandma who never used anything on her skin and never looked her age, these companies are making trillions of dollars selling products that actually do nothing for your skin, I think if I could go back in time, the only thing I’d use on my skin would be Sunscreen because that’s what’s caused me the most damage to my skin now in my 60’s, Sunscreen just wasn’t a thing when I was growing up but it wasn’t a thing when my Grandma was growing up either Bless her Heart ❤️, I can remember just washing my face with soap and water after a long days work, my first ever skincare brand was the Clinique 3 step, you got a soap cleanser, toner and moisturiser and that’s all I used for years and years. Now they have all these potions for different skin types. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️

Hi Dominique, thanks so much for another great video with excellent application and product tips! I wanted to share, for extra hydration, I add some steps after cleanse & toner, including 1- essence, such as Origins mega-mushroom relief (applied by gentle hand pressure), i find this product helps calm redness as well. 2- a calming serum, 3- a light layer of oil (eg Juno by Sunday Riley, or a pure oil for face such as Rosehip or Jojoba), 4- followed by tinted moisturizer, which can be combined with a clear gel serum (you should try Guerlain L’Or with gold flecks); colour corrector (gotta love Chanel for theirs-pale pink), and I like using Dermablend original (translucent) loose setting powder under eyes and nose. Honestly, I also mist my face w water spritz after these steps, and just before applying mascara - Lancome Idole. The power of makeup! Love it🥰

Powder shadow was fine for a number of years, but now that I am going on 80 this year, I feel that the creamy shadow will be much better. I was blessed with good genes and good skin so most of what you show us works fine for me. I am looking for a better way to minimize the blue line that shows up under eye that concealers I have tried are not doing the job well enough. Suggestions?

I personally would love to see a currant update for self tanning routine with brands that you would recommend. May your continued success for enriching our lives be returned to you on your journey in opening many opportunities with book signings and possible seminars. Thank you Dominique as usual you always seem to upload a video that pertains to my skin. My skin is very sensitive and gets very angry at times, and takes a while to acclimate to something new. I have used Palmers before with success. Keep the videos coming and keep smiling.

Oh my, such a coincidence> You were reading my mind/distress. I am in week 6 of Retin A and am a peeling sensitive mess. I will back off it a while. Thanks for reminding me. Can't wait to read your book. For the thousandth time, great video, thank you.

Hello Dominique, this is exactly what I needed. Dry and itchy skin is horrendous. Been using the same foundation for years so going to give IT a try. Love Drunk Elephant and use their body products too. Living in Scotland, as you can imagine its cold! Hope you are well. best wishes.

Hey Dominique! Such a helpful video. Do you experience or know why broken capillaries/veins happen around the nose/eyes? Any advice to help this?

I should ask my dermatologist about that. They tend to show where skin is thinnest

I so enjoyed your makeup tutorial (I’m a retired cosmetologist and aesthetician so it’s kinda my jam! Lol!) but I was absolutely riveted to the dry skin care… I have dry and extremely sensitive skin and I am so excited to try that Palmer coconut oil and such! I’m definitely past my 40’s, actually changing to my 60’s in October, but I’ve always used quality products on my face and I fully believe it’s why I have so few lines and wrinkles! And I do use several of the It products and am excited to try some of the other products you’ve suggested! Thanks for sharing all you’ve learned through your experiences and use! Can’t wait to see your next video!

"Death mauve" has me laughing... boy have I encountered THAT color before many times LOL : ) This lip color on you looks fantastic! Thanks for the great tips on keeping skin hydrated... Ohio winters are very dry so I started using the Palmers oil post-shower about a month ago and wow... love, love, love how my skin feels (and smells!) for the rest of the day!! Have a beautiful weekend : )

Great video, as always, Dominique! Have you ever tried oil cleansing? I have really been getting into that the last couple months and my face, skin and hair have never looked better. I am 52 and can really relate to all your videos! I look forward to them every week! Until next week, stay blessed

I recently had laser work done on my face and my post procedure care was Dr. Rogers Skincare. I liked it so much I stuck with it. First line my dry sensitive skin has liked. No redness, sensitivity or rebellion

Love your more ‘simple and fresh’ look .... it is so in line with what I want to achieve too and all your tips and notes are great. Keep going it’s what we all need and looking after ourselves in the widest sense and being as kind to ourselves as we are to others is always key, whatever age and whatever stage we are in life .

I too had to back off the retinoid due to over-sensitivity from this winter. Not too bad here in Alabama but just enough gas heat on to dry out my skin. Thank you for all you do to boost us all!!! Blessings to you!

The gas heat and heat in the car is a killer to the skin! I have humidifiers in my house and a seat heater in my car so i can minimize the blowing hot air.

What a perfectly timed video!! I deal with generalized redness & my tretinoin recently started drying my skin in certain areas. This entire tutorial is perfect!! Plus, I loved your look in your 83 Questions video so that’s a bonus!! Also, I’m so excited to jump straight in to your book when it arrives on my doorstep.
