I waited by your bedside And didn't close my eyes all night I named you like a prayer It's anybody's guess how The angel of doubt came down And crept into your bed But after we danced to the shipping forecast The words escaped your mouth "I know it's gotta stop love, but I don't know how" Now the stairs forget your shoes And the gate don't creak for want of you But the jury's out on me We're wise beyond our years But we're good at bad ideas, my love Or so it seems to be Shine a little light Don't wrestle with the night Don't think about the future now I know it's gotta stop love but I don't know how My little one My kettle drum I know I had a message at the start My babel tongue My come-undone I know I had a message at the start My prison kiss My dying wish I know I had a message at the start? But it up and abandoned us, when we were sleeping in our beds It's anybody's guess how the angel of doubt laid down Sand beneath our house I know it's gotta stop love, but I don't know how

Because 1st) P!ATD is band that not that many have high opinion/respect for other than the fans of the band. 2nd) They are a band people like to diss because it's the popular/hipster thing to do (like making fun of Nickleback plus they're apart of the EMO genre people love to hate). And 3rdly - IMO I think Dry the River are a more well crafted/skilled/mature band who write better songs and sound nothing like P!ATD whatsoever... So yeah that's why.

It is in the charts, ergo, bad? Get a grip man, take your high and mighty, better than everyone else attitude and stick it. I can understand not wanting to like say Nikki Minaj, the talentless thing that she is, but Jay-Z has some great lyrics and helped to bring rap to the mainstream and Linkin Park are one of the few bands to become sucessful from taking rock and hip hop and mixing them. Whilst I don't enjoy much of Jay-Z's music and Linkin Park's newer stuff is awful, they are good artists

dude, people have these cool things called "tastes". They're pretty cool because they're different for each person. Like your taste of music may be those bands (though I honestly don't see how you put Nickelback in the same list with Metallica and Skillet, but whatever) but someone, like me, may like this type of music. So it'd be really cool if you didn't diss a song just because it's not your taste. It's still really good.

there's no BETTER music, art is a matter of tastes, ofcourse it has to be well written, ..things like lady gaga and stuff, THAT is Not music, but if you like Dry The River and some other people like Slipknot or if you like Avenged Sevenfold and some other guy likes Noah and The Whale, you respect that and listen to your music, maybe if listen to other things you may have a larger music repertory, open mind is what I suggest people

Exactly. "Freeing slaves" is no reason for 600,000 American vs American deaths, and millions injured or seeing such a war. To pit brother, against brother... It is evil for such a trivial thing. The industrial revolution was nigh, and many tribal black people sold their own people to pirates anyway. To further make it worse, very few owned slaves, it was generally plantations owners. Lincoln, Truman, and Obama tend to be my least favorite Presidents. Truman refused to help Chiang Kai Shek...

I see that it is mainly rock and heavy metal that entice your palate. When you say 'anything better than this.' what makes you say this is bad? Is it poorly lyricised? Or is it because you find the instruments a bad match? Or is it because you think the video is lame? If you say this is bad in comparison with all the bands you listed, of course it is. It's a completely different genre, which means completely different sounds and tones created by people with differing ideas on music.

I hate it when people say "Don't go mainstream." I mean c 'mon. Am I the only one that thinks it's a good thing when people start liking a band after you do? Instead of trying to be a hipster and wanting all of your bands to stay underground, think about the band. Be happy that people will start listening to more good music and be happy that the band, who is probably pretty amazing, is finally being recognized.

Oh shut up, the difference with music like this is that it is well written and has an actual theme due to the fact that people can actually hear the lyrics and the structure. With what you're suggesting, it's just noise.. And yes, before someone tries to hate on this comment, I am showing ignorance to the genre but that is no less than what he has showed here.
