I’m crying here watching this 😂😂😂 The “Drawer opening when moving the furniture”🤣🤦🏻♂️ Another quality video guys, totally agree about grommet strip, I don’t know why the manufacturers don’t supply ready made grommets for the knock outs that come with the board!! You pay enough for these! The Hager boards have the small slots for cable ties to hold the grommet strip in which helps but otherwise like you say it just pops out and is an utter pain! Really need to try out these fusebox boards, think when I replace my parents board I’ll pop one of these in, only heard good things. The last board change I did I hadn't done testing beforehand either. I was going to, but the old and ancient fuse box up the garage wall had seen a few too many winters. Main switch snapped off when I tried to turn it off, so thought "sod that" in fear that it may fall to bits as I tried to test and just ordered gear for any scenario I find on the day and kept the leftovers for later jobs.

The earth upgrade may have been unnecessary, but it was cheap and easy. That and the tails would be classed as consumer equipment and the DNO wouldn't have anything to do with it if they were found to be insufficient in any way I suspect.

The reason I asked was because I have a similar situation but cannot determine what earthing system is in place. Thanks John. On these boards the SPD is designed to hang directly off the main switch. Most of the manufacturers do that with the in-built SPD's. Their overcurrent protection is little more than a solder joint that heats up and breaks contact. The Lewden ones I've shown before are designed to hang off an MCB simply to allow thinner wiring to be used to serve them from what I can see.

Shame about the smoke detectors. There wasn't even a socket behind those drawers, you can't fool me i'm an Electrician too. What make is your dash cam? Also, Merry Christmas.
