About the debug mode on mobile activating the pause screen, if you're playing the free version with ads an ad plays every time you unpause the game, meaning that using debug mode on the free version triggers an ad every time you want to switch debug mode on or off since it pauses the game forcing you to unpause and trigger an ad. Even worse, it makes it so that the B button on a connected controller pauses the game too (even without debug mode on) which is really awkward, and also carries over to the PC decomp if you use an up to date apk to install it (which you're encouraged to since you're supposed to extract your own apk, but the creator of the decomp themself said that the only way to stop B from pausing the game is to use an older apk)

fun fact about the speed caps: the toggles in Sonic 1 don't turn them on or off, but they fix a poor programming decision that instead of preventing Sonic from accelerating past a certain speed by undoing the acceleration if he's going faster than the top speed, it just sets his speed back to said top speed this is also only done if the direction you're pressing on the dpad matches the direction Sonic is going, so if you don't touch the dpad, you'll be able to exceed that speed by going down a slope and keep it until you press the dpad in the direction you're going in, suddenly slowing you down in sonic 1, and only in the air in sonic 2 because the cap logic is separate for each direction and between air and ground, and they forgot to reprogram the air speed caps

For some weird reason when setting items to + S3 it permanently removes roll lock during the run meaning you can use the dropdash like in origins CD, origins S3 & mania, this roll lock is even gone with a shield, but in S2 enabling S3 items does the same thing when you're purely base form sonic but when getting a shield roll lock is restored which doesn't happen in sonic 1 (unless the latest patch changed this)

Something very weird I found in Sonic Mania, when you don't have the Plus DLC and you go into Mania mode, activate Debug mode, go to no save mode and time it so that you have debug mode activated in the opening Cutscene of Mania, use the sign post to complete the level and for some reason you're in Angel Island zone without the Plus DLC, but when you make it too the end of the level and free Mighty and Ray, you are treated too Sonic and Sonic, but anyway when you finish those sections using debug mode skip the cutscene where the egg heavy's are reactivated and you are treated too Green Hill Zone act 1 and 2 with their Maina Plus layouts and object placements, unfortunately the special stages are the same as Mania but it's something weird I found

Because some dlc work by having the new content in the download while others get the new files in an update and the dlc only gives you access to it but sonic mania without the plus dlc seems to be a mix some things are there like files for the encore music and alternative colour palette but if you a mod loader to enable encore mode or to only play as mighty or ray it just doesn’t do anything as a matter of fact i tested that for this video as i have sonic mania without dlc on steam and plus on Nintendo switch

@@dshaynietheawesome huh that's weird (the DLC in Mania being mixed up) but is it possible too play the entirety of Encore mode without the DLC or not because I only tested this on my Xbox One S and it doesn't let me past Encore mode but something weird is that with the DLC being mixed up, when I check the file size for the Encore mode DLC (via games and ad-ons when you select the game via the options menu on Xbox) it says it's only 33.3 megabytes, which is a similar file size to DLC which is simply null data (such as the car packs in Forza Horizon 3 and 4, the Spiderman character pack in Lego Marvel Avengers and the Super Sonic DLC in Sonic Forces) but then again seeing as Sonic Mania is a very small game (only being around 200-300 megabytes in size) I can see how that can happen

Know about that one blue super sonic glitch from sonic mania? Here's a little glitch tip (I don't know if this works on sonic origins or if it's been patched out from the mobile versions, but anyways) If you activate debug mode while super sonic is about to run out of rings (the timing is very precise) sonic will turn into super sonic, but no powers, and normal abilities, can still get hit and lose your life, don't recommend dying though, that'll reset his sprite to his default ones and also if you complete a level, but oh well why am i mentioning this? Idk, just thought it would be an interesting thing to share, it's just a pretty interesting and peculiar glitch i loved this video!

Level select and debug mode in the classic sonic games for mobile is nice cause we get to make legends like this but also sometimes they have unused content from the development of these games in the form of items and objects that never made it into the game plus the codes for sound test are kinda cool and give some funni effects and let's just say that christan whitehead and simon made the sonic 1 and 2 remake damn good plus mania got good stuff and hope origins plus fixes the problems and complaints it has which is a laundry list

I assume the codes that turn all the animals to Ricky is a reference to Sally Acorn as she, as well as the other freedom fighters, are slightly based off of the animal buddies. Mania Plus does give Ray new shoes akin to his SGW redesign from Archie. And one of the animal buddies in the Fleetway comics, who are also based off of Ricky, is mistakenly called Sally Acorn.
