I changed three walls to white kept the yellow ochre on the bay ceiling and one wall - when the sun comes through the windows in the morning I get that warm homey feel - love the white as it too has an undertone of yellow. Your explanation now makes sense of the room colour - thanks 😊

Hi!! ❤️️ In general, the ceilings are usually the lighter surface since they reflect the light and make space feel higher. However, you can experiment with colors in particular cases where you want to alter space perception. That would be an excellent subject for a future video.

This is all new to me, so how do you know from the little colour cards at the paint shop what the undertone is? Does the card tell you? Once I found out that a neutral colour I liked contained black, blue and orange.

Hi!! As you have cool colors in your decoration, I recommend neutral light (4000k) for the ambient light layer. If you need a warmer light for space where you need a cozier feel, you can include floor or table lamps that you can control easily, or if you have the budget, a Smart bulb is a great option. With a smart bulb, you can control the intensity and color temperature of your lighting plan whenever you need it.
