I know this car, went for resto with PL, owner was told it was too far gone which wasn’t really the case, as far as I recall after that he sold it to PL supposedly to break, instead it was subsequently sold on to James Wade, still never been touched since it left Aberdeen years ago. I think this car has been for sale before on this auction , looks like it’s been stored and put back in for sale again . Love the optimism 🤣🤣 Just wants a little push back in, that’s right, no wear in here at all. What I seen. 4 blown door cards. Rotten arches. Rotten strut tops where they always go. No sill stickers in the door shuts. Rotten external window seals. No point patching that boot lid, it’s rotten. Odd wheels. Drivers seat bolster foam has collapsed. Spare wheel well is crusty. Under that dust I gaurantee it needs a paint job as from the looks of it it’s been left outside unloved for years and it will be faded, but it’s been stored inside to give it a nice coating of dust. Will no doubt make high teens but that needs 15-20k spent on it all day long.

It easily needs £15000 spending on it in my opinion. I own a 2WD flint grey Sapphire Cosworth and it was relatively clean when I bought it. I’ve already spent £3000 on it and it still needs masses of work to get it to a reasonable standard. Maybe another £5000 - £10000. That said it still might be worth saving due to the rarity of the colour and the fact it’s a Sierra RS Cosworth.

I have to laugh at the number of egits who trust the mileage as being accurate and don't know the obvious places to look for wear and don't buy based on the condition of the vehicle. I have a mercedes in at the moment with a 130,000 miles on it and it would easily pass for a 30k car based on condition. Also: ooooonhhh, 'it only has two owne'rs' It doesn't matter how many owners it has. It could have been neglected badly by one owner over 20 years of its life or alternatively 5 owners could have spent thiousands oh the necessary upkeep of the vehicle. I know which car I would buy. It wouldn't be the low mileage one owner one. This a general observation that isn't directed at this particular car or auction house, which incidentally do a fine job of reviewing their upcoming auxtion cars.
