I've always wondered why more people don't do this, putting on a tip before doing the dual gotten application! Because you get the best of both worlds!!

There's going to be a lot of lifting on the side walls and on the white tips due to not filing the shine off!! But I'm so glad I've watched this video I can hopefully do French manicure like this

Maybe I missed it, but did you only apply the base coat on the nail bed? Do the tips not need base coat to help the poly gel adhere to the nail tip ? I love this idea! But wanted to ask before I tried it , thanks :)
@seimmingsecret4 жыл бұрын
I’m not an expert at all but I’m guessing since gel is essentially plastic that they bond, but don’t take my word!
@plantylady4 жыл бұрын
I watched a few other videos using this method and I remember someone suggested buffing the top of the white tip and filing the smile line to blend with the nail bed so that when you put the poly gel ontop, it helps minimize any air bubbles.

I’ve been wanting to try this to avoid bumpy underside but you have to buff the shine off of the tip a little or it can separate

Can you make a vid or show the easiest way to do this with a pink base? I dont think I want to use clear and dont want to drag the pink over the white tip..Thanks
@alwaysgoodvibes16763 жыл бұрын
Ive done this! Just use pink gel for nail area in form and then add clear gel to rest of tip where ur white is ;)
@Arizona_lilly3 жыл бұрын
This is the best I done so far giving the nail.tips give it better strength and shape im.very new and my 1st set nails I did w Halloween colors stars on a nude pink.gel. omg the 1 hand started fall apart so I did all gold w different styles of gold a couple fingers o did tips no.forms but super U can buy all types dual form what ever it is make sure the dual forms is larger then the tips as long as it fits over tips
@alarafair17143 жыл бұрын
You didn’t show a lot of the part concerning the French manicure nail tips. You glued on the tips then cut down the length to how long you wanted them correct? Are the half moons below the white parts noticeable?
@chevyway774 жыл бұрын
I watched til the end of the video what did you do to remove the white stuff at the cuticle after you added the clear coat?
@Ms2unique4u4 жыл бұрын
It looked like she probably just used cuticle oil. I’m not sure why she didn’t at least use a gel cleanser or alcohol to clean off nails. At the very least she could have had the person wash their hands.
@terrijones9152 Жыл бұрын
I saw that too. Thought maybe she should have taken a little more time clearing the cuticle area because it will cause lifting eventually.

I use these polygel all the time I love them but before I cure them I like to smooth the underside with brush as its handier for me but I dont use the tips as find the gel strong enough.. great video xx

Why wouldn't you just apply the polygel straight to the nail and tips? Don't really get why you're using the forms when you're already using tips? Anyone?
@platinumdiva754 жыл бұрын
The forms help to create the perfect apex without a lot of additional manual sculpting. The way she's doing it is the fastest way, especially if you are a beginner or doing it at home 😉.

I hope that was not a paying client. Time is money, so any way to reduce time is always good, but at least create beautiful nails. Those cuticle and side walls looked terrible and you got a huge bubble on the thumb nail. If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail as they say.
