I've had one for about a year. Nothing bad to say about it other than the seat starts to uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Bike feels light and nimble, but it's also stable and strong. Just makes me smile to think about riding it. See ya'....

I love this guy. I wasn't expecting him to keep saying "in the bush". I have the maturity of a 12 year old

Cheers. Thanks for the quick reply. Can you write that again fully in digits? I'm not sure what the "even" stands for, and I need to convert to cm. Myself, I'm about 185 cm tall and I was wondering if the bike would be small for me, would I sit cramped or would it be fine? Can I other you with maybe some more questions in private? I'm interesting in purchasing one from another country so it would be difficult to test ride first. Thanks a million.

you think the motard would go good on the interstate?

Cheers. I'd like to know what's the riding position like? Is it comfortable? I keep hearing about "riding just over the front wheel", etc. How tall are you? I wonder if the seat is high enough for my 185cm. Thank you and happy riding.

How is the build quality of these bikes, do they last? I'm considering to get 2013 Hypermotard, which has a new type engine. Never owned a Duc before, and I heard they are expensive to maintain. But does that apply to the Hypermotard model as well? Hmm, everyone says these are very fun to ride ...

i love my hyper 1100s !!

the 2013 Hypermotard has an 18,500 mile service interval, so i could only assume it's quite well built. they are much much better than the old Ducatis that gave them a bad name for reliability.

Actually, I'm 184cm tall. The bike is a hybrid design with some dirt bike in it. It does remind me of my days on dirts bikes, but with a lot more power and street tires. I like this bike a lot for bopping around on quick trips and for the flexibility of going places I wouldn't normally go with my Diavel: fire roads, pocked roads, etc. Excellent for downtown traffic. BTW, the Diavel is like riding a soup-up locomotive.

Stop generalizing. Not all Americans are like that. It's not like we all think that you guys wrestle crocs.

I'm sorry to say but that one full of Bulls*it review. There are quite a lot of stupid reviews around & I never comment but geez... someone might go and buy this bike thinking it's an offroad bike! Well, it's not. No more than you're everyday R1 is. The Hypermotard 796 is a nice bike for a first big bike and for skilled riders as well though it has a few flows, none were adressed here (who cares if the rear wheel is easy to take of man?). Do yourself a favor, go read a proper review.

just so you know its a foreign bike.. (that means it was made in another country) you dont like foreingners then dont buy their products..

i'm an American and i have enough respect to realize that not everyone has an American accent. have some respect for other cultures and stop thinking about only yourself.

How can you review this bike and say it has 796cc??! If you had any credibility you'd know it was 803cc.
