Very nice Video. I own the V4 Rally and all the points you mentioned are correct. I put a small clip on my windsrceen and that solved the turbulence issue. For the seat I have installed the high comfort seat. Well, after 300 miles my butt still cries for a break. It is what it is. But I love that bike for travelling. I recently did 3000miles in 8 days through Norway and the ride was a pleasure.

I've owned Joy, a MSV4S Sport since September 2022, my first Ducati after a lifetime of other brands. Raced motocross, desert, and finally road racing. All of my other bikes were sans any electronics, aka, ABS, etc. The only electronics were fuel injection and a Powercommander on my RC51. I'm 5 8 180#, 29.5 inseam, and installed the lowering kit and lower seat. I can flat-foot when the bike is in MIN. I measured my sitz bones using a piece of cardboard and aluminum foil. I can tell where they are when I sit on the bike and my ass never gets sore. This will be my last bike, and I'm a one-bike-at-a-time owner. Always have been. Penton, Maico, Bultaco, Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha were my brands before Joy. Kickstart two strokes were my dirt bikes. I live in the San Francisco area of the USA. The tech is like science fiction to me, especially the Sky Hook suspension. Incredible.

Cracking video! Interesting to hear about the seat… Will have to try it out for myself but was hoping to pick one up eventually for a lot of miles round Europe!

It's certainly worth trying a few seat options and speaking to the dealer about comfort. There are also aftermarket covers that are very good for riders doing similar journeys over a short space of time. Don't let it put you off trying one. - John

I have a 1200 and the seat sounds similar on very long rides. I added an Airhawk seat pad, and it's bliss. 750 miles with no pain. Highly recommended.

I bought its baby sister the V2S after three GSs, it’s seriously underrated but it’s the V4S next time, I’d never pay the retail price and I’d need the low seat. There’s something very special about owning a Ducati and I love the experience. PS. It’s just been tweaked with auto lowering etc. which makes it even better.

I own the travel radar version for over 10000 miles now and I still smile every time I ride her. Named her Kefi, an Italian word that sums the bike up perfectly.

I got the V4 Rally. It made it alot better compared to the V4S with range both with bigger tank and deactivation of the rear cylinders.. The Rally have a higher windshield and the annoying turbulence/Vibration from the wind is still there in any height position.. I tried the Givi and that was even worse.. I put a little defletor on top and that made it alot better but still not perfect.. Thinking of trying the Wunderlich Marathon. And regarding the seat.. Not good.. i Ordered a Wunderlich Comfort seat also.... Other than that the bike is AMAZING...

V4S level 2 sounds about the sweet spot as the Akra does nothing for power or sound. Spend the saved money on bum numbing.
@driven.videos
@driven.videos 4 ай бұрын
I've heard a few people say the same about the Akra systems on many of the newer Ducati models. It would seem the new Euro-regs are making it increasingly more difficult for bike and car makers to produce exciting noises - even with aftermarket options. - John

Yep seat is not very good I get 45 mins to an hour before ass starts to ache , think there is a Ducati tour seat which might be better or a Sargent heated seat but at £1000 it’s a lot with no guarantee that it’s any better 🤷‍♂️

6 foot 1 ….. leg arm shoulder position all good just the seat I think I got to change , mind you two things , I got the bike second hand and 1000 miles so seat might have time to break in and I did come off a couple of BMW RT and latterly BMW K16 which both have super comfy touring seats. So I might have gone soft !

Good video and nicely presented but the acoustic contamination during your summary is very annoying and distracting.
