I have had my bike for just shy of 2 years now and I most of the time keep it in sport mode but you can edit the Sport presets so you can have the engine setting to high. Street mode is handy for slow driving around town as it knocks the power down to around 130hp and can be a little less jerky 0-20mph. Race mode suspension is pretty brutal around street and bumpy country roads. It really is best for the track only. I would highly recommend watching Dave Moss's suspension setup for this bike. I felt it made a big difference, handles an absolute dream. If you think the bike is fast now then try and fit the aftermarket Akrapovic or Termi setup along with race map and performance air filter. Man it unleashes a hell of a lot responsiveness and power.

It will tell you to shut the throttle off for a second or so. It will then change into that mode. I never understand why people are hung up on fuel gages. When the fuel light comes on, the tank has about a gallon left. it also shows on the dash how many miles you've done with the light on. If you look how many mpg the bike is doing, then you can work out what range you have left. Its really quite easy.

@GearHeadMoto8 ай бұрын
Such a gorgeous motorcycle. Looks like it would be a absolute rocket to ride.
@volodymyrshoniia24242 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a V twin at idle because of cylinder deactivation. Coming from a tuono v4 to this was pretty weird when I tried, ergos are really weird (I guess I'm really used to more sport bike like ergos of tuono now, although I do also have a 690 SMC r), definitely more agile and easier to ride than tuono at lower speeds, definitely feels smaller and lighter, but not as stable at higher speeds. The one I tried had a stupidly loud akra that sounded awful, the engine is useless for the street imo because of how high up the power is, the throttle response is not bad, but the throttle travel is too long, low and midrange feels totally gutless compared to tuono (tuono just wants to rip your face off at any revs in any gear as long as you don't lug it too much). Counter rotating crank shaft definitely makes it not wheelie happy, combined with not much torque at lower-mid rev range it makes it not very exciting. It's easy to ride, but it's not raw like tuono, it doesn't feel engaging, the quick shifter isn't as good, and it lacks basic features like cruise control and fuel gauge at the stupid price point. Definitely much more beginner friendly and easier to manage (very easy to ride really) than tuono, sport mode felt like I would expect rain mode to feel. Tuono would be better for longer rides, this is better around town. Being gutless in low-mid range also makes it smoother than tuono. It does run hotter than tuono though. Would probably like it more if I played with a bunch of settings. Race with anti wheelie off seems like the way to go. A slightly used v4 still makes lots more sense than Sfv2 which doesn't have any power until 8.5k and costs more than base tuono 🤣 The main rules on the tuono are don't look at the speedo and don't look at the rate the fuel is disappearing.

I'm aware that it sounds like a trashy v twin and not a beautiful v4. Mr.yummy pube was talking about idle which is when it would have cylinder deactivation with different sound. I'm confused. Didnt pick the Tuono V4 in the Tuono V4 v Streetfighter V4 video?

I'd love to ride one of these. I have a SD 1290 with all of the usual mods.. I fear that not having 95ft-lb of torque from 4,000 RPM onward as the Super Duke does would make the Streetfighter feel a bit slower on the street.

I had a SFV4S and now I have a 21 SDR. You are correct. Technically, the SF is faster, on the street, the SDR feels faster. I love the Ducati but after having both I’d take the SDR all day.

Yo Yams! That throttle play from neutral can be solved with Ducati Spacers (~$30) kit. Check it out!

It is, like my XR, two bikes. Keep it under 6000 and you have a sublime nice welmanered streetbike, citybike or commuter, actually even a beginner bike for the bigger person, And then, above 7000, U get a beast, a hooligan. It is the only bike U need, when you stay on paved surfaces On the xr, revs go to 13500 and that is 75 in first, 90 in second, 105 in 3e and 120 in forth,

Yammie noob if I hadn’t been a long time follower I would think that you were a paid advertisement by Ducati. Thankfully, I am a longtime follower and I know that you give great unbiased and factual experienced opinions. This review is much needed - because almost every other reviewer out there just is a Tuono fan boy (no doubt great bike) And it’s nice to see somebody who has acknowledged the great qualities of a Streetfighter that you cannot find out unless you had a very long test drive. For example you mentioned how it was very easy to ride around town under 6000 RPM whereas other bikes like the Tuono and the MT 10 would be really darty because of how aggressive their throttle responses are - and I found that to be helpful in my decision making for a future naked. I also loved your analysis about the highway speeds and not any need for a windshield and how comfortable the seat is. Keep the reviews coming 💪🏽🏍

Why not the Streetfighter V4SP?
