So wonderful to hear this wonderful segment again. 1st heard the Sacred Concert at the University of Wisconsin in 1972 or 73. Tony Watkins went on to play the Lion in The Wiz. Awesome to hear Johnny Hodges.

Had the pleasure of seeing this live at Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford on Sunday. 4 congregations 120 voices 20 instruments and 800 in the audience Awesome!

c'est une oeuvre de Duke Ellington qui a écrit de la musique sacrée. J'ai le plaisir d'assiter à Barcelone avec mon Papa en novembre 69 aux 2 concerts de Duke. Freedom en est le thème principal. Le second thème que j'adore de part sa musique et son trompettiste Cuty Williams est "The Shepper"
