JOHN, YESSIR.... I HAVE SO MANY WONDERFUL. MEMORIES ON FRIDAY NIGHTS GROWING UP AS A KID. EVERY FRIDAY, GRANDMA/GRANDPA WOULD PICK ME UP FROM SCHOOL. WE WOULD HEAD INTO BOISE TO RALPH'S TOYS and HOBBIES. THEY WOULD BUY ME A MODEL SEMI FROM THE AMT CORPORATION, AND WE WOULD HEAD BACK TO THEIR PLACE. I WOULD WORK ON THE TRUCK WHILE GRANDMA WOULD WATCH THE 5:00 WORLD NEWS, THEN THE 5:30 LOCAL NEWS, AT 6:00 IT WAS WHEEL OF FORTUNE, AT 6:30 WAS JEOPARDY. THEN WE WOULD ALL SIT DOWN FOR " ONLY THE BEST-----PIZZA and THE DUKES OF HAZZARD AT 7:00, FOLLOWED BY GRANDPA WITH DALLAS AT 8:00, FOLLOWED BY FALCON CREST AT 9:00. THEN GRANDMA WOULD GO TO BED WHILE GRANDPA AND I WOULD REMINISCE ABOUT THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. THEN SATURDAY MORNING WHEN GRANDPA CAME HOME FROM WORK IT WAS "THE DUKES CARTOON." I LOOK BACK ON ALL THESE TIMES, AND WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THE MEMORIES OF GRANDMA/GRANDPA AND I WATCHING THE DUKES OF HAZZARD EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. ALWAYS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE AS MY HEART TRAVELS BACK ACROSS THE YEARS. THANK YOU JOHN, AND THE REST FOR 41 YEARS OF ENJOYMENT!!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!

I was never around when The Dukes of Hazzard was in its glory days because I was born in 1999. But I became a fan of the show, and here's why. Back in 2008 when I was a kid, my dad and I were shopping around looking for a PlayStation game to purchase. That's when I saw this orange car jumping in the air with a police car chasing it from behind in the distance. Yep, that game was The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of The General Lee. I asked my dad what he thought about the game before we purchased it. He said, "Wow, I used to watch a TV show on this when I was your age". He didn't even look at the price, he just bought it for me right away. And then the rest is history. As I got older I always found any means possible to watch the TV show, because the game grew on, and so did the show. So if a person like me from the younger generation, can actually appreciate a classic show like the Dukes, then anyone can. In fact I'm not even a US citizen. I'm Jamaican, which says a lot because it shows that many people globally from different cultures can relate to the Dukes of Hazzard. Thank you John and the rest of the Duke family for being apart of my childhood. Yeeehaww

I'm about 4 mths late seeing this, but thank you for posting it. No TV dinners in our house but we would eat supper, do our chores (6 of us kids at home) and get settled down in the living room to watch the Dukes ❤️ I don't have a lot of fond, happy memories from childhood, but that is one of them.

At 50 I still like _The Dukes of Hazzard_ series with all the original characters. Now I think it's fair to say it could be considered a heartwarming tribute to some of the cast who played a valuable part in the show and have since passed including Denver Pyle, James Best and Sorrell Booke. The General Lee with the doors "welded shut" was a classic plot point and the Duke boys are my personal favorite characters in the series because they outsmarted Rosco almost every time and knew how to talk to "pretty ladies" as well.

One of my favorite shows growing up and still is. Though Bo and Luke were the coolest, Daisy was one of my first crushes, and Rosco and Boss Hogg were one of the most underrated comedy teams ever.

John, wow I so loved and still do love the Dukes of Hazzard! It was a great show that me my mother youngest brother would watch every Friday, couldn't miss it. There was just something about it that I loved about it. I couldn't wait for the next Friday to come around to watch it. We would have already had dinner, save our snack or desert to watch the Hazards. I would tell my mom wow look they jumped the car or when they would do a chase or running scene with the car. Even then I would say to mom how do they make those jumps without totally tearing the car up, at my young age then. I loved cars, watching them jump, or race it was an awesome thing to watch. I loved the actors, then and now. Thanks to you John and the others who had the chance to make a great TV family show to watch! Will always love the Dukes of Hazzard! May God bless you and Alicia, family!

Like so many others I would be GLUED to the TV every Friday night, nothing could change my plans, nothing. And yes When I think of some of the best times of my life the Dukes always pop into my mind. I met you all back in the very early 1980's at a world of wheels show at the Hines convention center in Boston, I was star struck to say the least. Still have my General Lee RC car in its original packaging and have the series on DVD. Good times, good times 😊👍.

Yup, it was a good memory in my young life. As a young teenager living with my mom in a new state and out in the country, sometimes it felt kind of lonely. The Dukes felt like a surrogate family of sorts. My favorite parts, of course - oh what *wasn't* my favorite part? The characters were lovable, the car was the epitome of Southern cool, I loved the narration by Waylon Jennings, and you could always count on a good laugh. Roscoe and Boss Hogg always cracked me up, I thought of Daisy as like a big sister; and although I liked Luke and thought YOU were totally cute (that blond hair!!), I admit my heart belonged to Enos (he was so sweet!😊). But I always loved Roscoe's laugh at the end! (Heck, I even wanted a Basset hound like Flash - I loved Flash!🐶) I miss seeing it. I wish they'd show it again! Anyways, thanks for the memories!!

When I was a little girl. I watched Dukes of Hazzard, my favorite show ever. I thought at the time, when I got old enough I was going to marry Bo Duke, lol. This was back in the 1980s and I believed Bo, Luke, Daisy, Uncle Jesse and all the others were real people and Hazzard, Hazzard County, Georgia was a real place. I was in kindergarten in 1980. So, I graduated from high school in 1994 still in love with Bo Duke. It was some time afterwards I found out it was at tv show with actors. I was sad. But ... I still enjoy the Dukes of Hazzard to this day. Thank You and God Bless You All. ❤💝❤️

Yes...best childhood memories for me as well. Still remember dressing up as Bo Duke in my yellow button down shirt and sliding across mom's coffee table pretending it to be the General Lee. Since that time, I have fallen victim to life's biggest challenges where I lost who I was...allowing my sin, my guilts, and my insecurities to take away from that being that confident 10 year old boy in 1985 who got lost in the simple life of the Dukes of Hazard. Thank you John...thank you for reminding us about how we can still have those same feelings today...all with a change in perspective and a few "Ya-Ho's" along the way. God bless!

I mainly watched it on my own preferred it that way every Saturday evening on BBC1 growing up in the UK from time to time an immediate family would watch but primarily would see it on my own , then when we got a bigger house and had TVs upstairs would watch it there . Dinner was afterward , usually have my nine millionth tea for the day and a sandwich or the occasional chocolate . TV dinners did not come to the UK until late eighties , and we occasionally had those . So it was something I preferred to enjoy by myself or sometimes with my mates , that is friends in the UK

John The Dukes left such an indelible mark on me that in my adult years my production company put together a very low budget movie (A Town Called Salvedge) that was very loosely based on the Dukes concept. Didn't have a charger so we used a Javelin. It was a lot of fun. We are still making Salvedge videos today. Thanks for all the fun and the knowledge I have gained from The Dukes of Hazzard.

There was once a race and ramping contest between the General Lee and Evel Knievel on his Harley . It occurred in Indiana on the linoleum kitchen floor of my house . Boba Fett ,Ace Frehley and a dinosaur were on hand to witness it.

Well John I’m only a few years younger than you so I didn’t get the under ruse got the car but I wasn’t really a kid when the Dukes of Hazzard came out I started watching it because I like cool cars. And the thing that makes me happy because like you said at our age we’ve lost a lot so honestly it was nice to see that you’re still around God bless

John , I'm so thankful to you for the wonderful memories . I absolutely adored The Dukes show . And somehow you and the others , but especially you really had an effect on that little ten year old boy . I wanted to be like Bo . I think it's the reason I like solid color shirts to this day lol . Small things like that are important . But much more important than that is your attitude . So many actors or musicians , I was in the music business do I have a little of an inside track on that one . But they resent the very thing they dreamed of doing . You haven't done that . I got to meet you once at Dukes Fest in Nashville , and you were the same John / Bo that I felt like I know . We are so blessed by the Lord in this life , even through our trials . How can we do anything but smile and pass His love on . So once again thank you for being a man of character . One that I can share with my family with absolute confidence that you'll give them good quality family entertainment by just being you .
