I'm so glad you guys watched the full Theatrical version like my wife and I saw in the theater back in '96. For those that don't know, probably 100 partial scenes were cut out for the VHS and DVD releases.

Depending on the country you are from certain scenes were left out of the cinematic and DVD releases. TV versions are also different. I'm pretty sure the only way to see all the scenes together is from the director's cut, which can either be found online or as a special feature on some DVDs

I heard it was Jim that made sure Jeff got the deal. He wasnt what the studio wanted cause he hadnt really done comedy before, but he had such great chemistry that they decided to keep him. You gotta understand that Carrey was a superstar at this point and Daniels was nowhere near as famous.

@@porkypile Nowhere as famous, I suppose, but Daniels' film career precedes Carey's by a decade. Including starring in the very famous Terms of Endearment, a number of Woody Allan movies, Speed, and plenty of others in between.

Jim Carrey got some criticism in middle '90 as an actor being able to make only silly characters, and so he started to make some more serious stuff, like "the cable guy" and "the Thruman Show".

Now that you've seen this one, the next one with Jim Carey should be "Me, Myself, & Irene." You'll find a few similarities but they don't act as dumb as these guys. After that, please make sure to see "Something About Mary." I believe the same filmmakers made all of these movies.

1. I saw this first time on a plane. I'm saying to myself that it should be, "Stupid and stupider". 2. Awesome movie. You can't watch it without enjoying yourself. 3. Too bad Jim Carrey🤢 (a rich Canadian with bodyguards) turned into an anti-gun (2nd Amendment) puke and ruined his career. 4.
