Fun fact: This movie, The Mask, & Ave Ventura all came out in 1994, making Jim Carrey the most popular comedic star that year and effectively kick-starting his career into overdrive. Those 3 successes are the reason we have such great films with him in it following that year.

One of my favorite movies. There are to many funny scenes to point out just one. The scene where Jim Carrey makes the most annoying sound in the world was improvised by him and you can see the surprise on Jeff Daniels face. Great reaction.

My two favorite bits were by Jeff Daniels. When he says his parakeets head fell off it makes me crack up, and when he launches a snowball at Lauren Holly's head in retaliation then tackles her. I think his delivery is up there with Leslie Nielsen.

Even when watching this as a kid when it came out this scene made me think Jim Carrey can do serious acting. He was just know for being goofy especially this movie, but that delivery made me believe this dude has dramatic chops and would transition over to serious roles one day.

The only problem is I noticed is it was the unrated cut of the movie- it’s probably not as big a deal if you didn’t grow up with the movie but I found the extended version with some different takes not as funny as the way it was originally.

It’s the unrated cut which was actually the only version released on Blu-ray for some reason. I’m actually not a big fan of it and think the original version plays better.

This is one of the best 90s Comedies. Jim And Daniel are so good and funny in this and work magic together. Lloyd And Harry are Human Versions Of Spongebob And Patrick. Never should've done a prequel and sequel, This movie is lighting in a bottle, Right place, Right time. One of Carrey's best and if you want to see his serious side please watch Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind if you haven't.

What!? How have you not seen it?! It's one of the best. This is the extended edition. The woman at the end said "hallå allihopa", that's Swedish. And she for sure sounds Swedish, but it seems she didn't tell anyone that that isn't grammatically correct. You can't say allihopa to just two people.

If you're a little more serious about film, Cable Guy is a must watch. It's a very funny dark comedy. I really think it's totally underrated. There's even a reference to an obscure 1970s Australian film (which I believe was the inspiration for the premise), the likes of Tarantino would have seen. I just subscribed by the way, and would love for you to react to some Australian content as you seem quite knowledgeable and analytical.

Hopefully it's the theatrical cut. The extended cut kinda drags and the extra jokes aren't worth the slower pace. But yeah, me and my friends growing up could basically act out this whole movie, we watched it so much.
